With a potential Justice League movie on the horizon, we wanted to take a few to consider who really should be included in this historic first team up? Should the movie introduce some or all of the members? In other words, should we get a first glimpse of a few of our favorite characters, or should we get them all in the first take? There are so many different ways that DC can move forward with it all and this is our take of who should be in the charter Justice League movie!
1. SUPERMAN
It's obvious that Superman must be included. Supposedly the 'Man of Steel' movie will kick it all off. He can be claimed as the leader of the Justice League and certainly could be considered their ultimate defense. Behind him, they can face anything and a 'JL' movie would not be possible without him.
2. BATMAN
Yes, we know you expected this one. You can't have a 'JL' movie without the caped crusader either. It's obvious that Christian Bale doesn't want to fit into the bat suit again so someone else must be brought in. Just as he did, someone else can re-define the character in a way not seen before. Everyone can rally behind Batman (comic book fans, action junkies, kids, etc.) and he is essential in the first Justice League movie.
3. WONDER WOMAN
Wonder Woman completes the big 3. Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman must all lead the way in a 'JL' title and cannot be skipped or given a light nod. She will bring the female power to the team much like Black Widow did in the Avengers, only Wonder Woman should play a much bigger role in the 'JL' movie. We can only hope that Wonder Woman will finally have a legitimate role in the DC movie family.
4. GREEN LANTERN
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan again) must also be included. It's well known that many didn't enjoy the first attempt at Hal on the big screen. I am one of the believers that they should roll with what they have all ready created rather than re-boot the hero. With a better script, I feel as if Green Lantern can fit nicely into the darker script and within the team. Between having the hots for Wonder Woman, and butting heads with Batman he would be a highly liked comical, yet fierce character.
5. THE FLASH
Barry Allen himself must make his debut! Much like in the DC New 52, Green Lantern and Flash could provide themselves as close buddies through battle and triumph. The possibilities are endless on how amazing they could make his speed look, and something that many comic fans have long awaited to witness. He deserves some time to shine and comes in as the #5 most important 'JL' cast member.
6. AQUAMAN
If your response to Aquaman being included into the 'JL' movie is "lame" then you are simply ignorant. As has been well noted, the new 52 version of Aquaman is highly acclaimed among comic book fans. This new version has been a shot of success and Arthur Curry would be a pure bad ass on screen. It's high time that DC makes everyone forget about the 'old' version of Aquaman and bring it in with a warrior much to the likes of a Thor from the Avengers. Regardless to the belief of many, he doesn't need to battle in or near water to be capable enough to consider himself a charter member of the Justice League.
Thus concludes the 6 that must be in the new movie. Now at this point, the possibility of bringing in a few characters for a 'cameo' leading into a future appearance would seem fit (like a Hawkeye or Black Widow from Avengers). Or maybe, a key role that leads to more following the first film. Let's take a look at the characters who just miss out as a main headliner in the 'JL' film.
1. MARTIAN MANHUNTER
He could certainly find his way into becoming a 'JL' member in the first movie. He has the history, and the mystery to be a crucial member.
2. CYBORG
A new 52 Justice Leaguer, that could be made into a cool character on the big screen. He brings something new to the team, and in a technological age everyone needs someone good with computers.
3. GREEN ARROW
With the new tv series, and the fame from Hawkeye and even Katniss from the Hunger Games there has never been a better time for the archer to hop into a live action film. If he were to make an appearance it would certainly not be a large role.
4. HAWKMAN
Lastly the most unlikely to make an appearance or cameo role, Hawkman. Maybe a hidden clue towards a future appearance or something could be dropped for him.
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? Who should be included in the Justice League movie? Of the 4 that just missed the cut who would you like to see earn a spot? And is there someone else not mentioned who you think deserves a spot in the teams first film? Let's hear it!
