Let me make this clear, before you guys flip out on me. I don't believe that they should remake The Godfather . The movie was so good, It should be left alone.

But chances are Hollywood is going to remake it in another 20 years anyway. So here is who I would cast if I they were going to make a Godfather remake, Today. Not tomorrow, not next week, or next month, next year. But... Today!

If I were going to pick a director, It would be Quentin Tarantino.

Its blasphemy to suggest other choices, but to be honest this is cast really well. Well played.
Although I dont think Tarantino would be suited for it.

@TheBlacksmith The only reason I picked Tarantino is because of his history with gangster movies like Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, that made his career.

I figured if anybody could direct The Godfather, it would be Quentin Tarintino.

@RunDTC clearly you haven't seen 'The Town.' Affleck is an excellent actor.

@ ndwwrestler2 I wouldn't mind a Godfather remake and your picks are great.

Dude, Affleck is not a terrible actor. Have you seen The Town or The Company Men. You dislike almost every single major actor and that is why your casts are terrible (in my opinion).

@ndwrestler2 Dude, it's hard to recast a modern masterpiece like The Godfather, but this is an excellent cast. But I think David Fincher would be more suited to direct this.

I haven't seen the Town but I have it on my DVR. I do not hate evry major actor and when you see my next fancast (which is still in the works due to it being a six film series, I believe I will redeem myself).

I heard that Affleck is good in the Town but look at his other films: Daredevil, Armageddon, Paycheck, Pearl Harbor, Phantoms, Gigli, Reindeer Games, Forces of Nature.....I don't dislike Affleck as a person, he seems like a decent guy. He's a great director (Gone Baby Gone got screwed by the Acadamy). I just don't care for him as an actor (in what I've seen him in).

as much as i love the affleck brothers but they arent rite for the roles at all they dont even look italian

Actually I'd leave Al Pacino out of it. He's one of my favorite actors but he's "been there done that" to me. No DeNiro either. Casey Affleck is a better actor than Ben in my opinion. Keep him at all cost.

failed from the get go.

i would leave out Pacino. to have the original stars in anything more than a cameo just doesn't work in my opinion. and Casey Affleck is not Michael Corleone. I like Ben especially his current work, but i don't see Sonny with him.

i think this is a bad cast and should never even have been thought of
