Would Supernatural Make a Good Video Game?

Supernatural has been a very successful television series, but do you think it has the makings of a good video game too?

I know this isn't necessarily comic book news, but I have seen a good number of fans of the show on here. Supernatural has been running for 6 seasons now, with the 7th currently airing. In the beginning of the series, the theme of the show was to, for lack of a better term, "kill the thing of the day". Sam and Dean Winchester would hop in the Impala and drive town to town, cross country and do their thing. Later on, the series started to become more focused on one main story-line, follow that for most of the season, and take the occasional break by going back to the "kill the thing of the day" formula for an episode or two. One thing I have always admired about the show is that even when following one main story-line, they still manage to travel everywhere, keeping things fresh. I was watching some re-runs recently and started to think...this could make an awesome video game.

Here's how I picture it:
You can choose to play as Sam or Dean. Each following the same story-line, but with a different take on it. Now, I'm not sure which formula would work better for the game: the "kill the thing of the day" formula, or following one main story-line. I say have both.

Sam and Dean would receive either intel or the occasional mission from Bobby, who is back at his house gathering all the intel for them. (This could happen simply by Bobby calling their cell phones and talking to them)Maybe the main story-line formula would work better so you can have one main mission, and other side missions as well...which brings me to my next point:

It could be an open world game, alot like Dead Island. Different towns throughout the U.S. would be places that Sam and Dean would travel to, each town offering a sandbox-like gameplay. In each town, Sam and Dean would search around for clues, talk to people, and fight some baddies along the way. And maybe it doesn't have to be just one town at a time. Maybe it could be a couple towns that are close by, that way you get to drive the Impala around (cause the Impala is it's own character in the show).

I also think it would be cool to have small DLC missions where you can play as other characters of the series(Bobby, Castiel, Jo, Rufus, etc.)
So what do you think? Think it has the makings of a good game? Or is my mind just wondering too much?
