Chace Crawford as Scott Summers/Cyclops
Portraying the undisputed leader of the X-Men, Scott Summers is discovered
d by Charles Xavier and recruited into the X-Men so he can gain mastery over his mutant ability. Considering First Class will be part of the new continuity I'll leave it up to the filmmakers what relationship Scott has to Alex Summer also known as Havok.
Anna Kendrick as Jean Grey/Phoenix
Everyone's favorite redhead right about now, Anna Kendrick has the ability to play a really likeable character (see 50/50) yet also deliver a stellar performance at the same time. I can definitely see her portraying a young Jean Grey coming to terms with her powers and then becoming the destructive Phoenix we all know and love further down the line similar to Michael Fassbender coming into his own as Magneto.
Lupita Nyong'o as Ororo Munroe/Storm
Not the most original choice but with films like 12 Years a Slave and the 7th installment of the Star Wars saga on the way, Lupita is soon to be one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood. She could bring her own thing to the role since I think it would be much easier to forget about the X-Men films that occurred before First Class altogether. She's pretty much guaranteed to be better than Halle Berry's version of the character.
Karen Gillian as Tamara Winters/Domino
She's already proven she can badass with Nebula but I don't actually see her run as the character in the hierarchy of the MCU, which I why I think Fox would be missing a huge opportunity to cast her as the lady of luck Domino. Not afraid to change for a role I think Gillian would make the perfect Domino.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler
An actor that has been repeatedly great in a slew of bad films I think Levitt could really find his footing as the teleporting blue devil in this imagined quasi-reboot of X-Men. Levitt certainly has the chops and the physical build for the character.
Lily Collins as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
The main key for the Scarlet Witch casting was "Is she old enough to be related to Evan Peters' Quicksilver?". With Evan Peters being 27 and Lily being 25 I'd say it's very believable considering it was denied that the redheaded little girl on Evan's lap in DOFP was Wanda. Lily Collins has impressed me as an actor and I feel she could really play a very good Scarlet Witch.
Gabriella Wilde as Lorna Dane/Polaris
Like with JGL Gabriella has repeatedly been my favorite thing in some very bad films. I find her performances to be quite good and I feel she could definitely play a convicting Polaris, the step-sister to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch and daughter of Magneto.
Jamie Chung as Betsy Braddock/Psylocke
I honestly don't think I've ever chosen Chung for a CBM role besides Psylocke. I just think the glove fits so perfectly it's pretty much impossible to think of something better, at least in my opinion.
Brie Larson as Paige Guthrie/Husk
You may know her best as Jonah Hill's girlfriend from 21 Jump Street but she's been described frequently as an indie queen. Having appeared in films such as Rampart and Short Term 12, which won her numerous Best Actress awards. I think Brie Larson, one of my favorite actresses could definitely stand-out and bring attention to Husk, one of my favorite X-Men members.
Zac Efron as Bobby Drake/Iceman
Anyone who's seen Neighbors now knows that Efron has come be a force in Hollywood and his comedic timing in that movie has me excited enough for his future to say he'd be able to play a good Iceman. His Neighbors co-star Dave Franco is also a good pick but I try not to contradict myself since I already fancasted Franco as Powerpax despite his age.
Hope you enjoyed my fancast. See you around.
