FANTASTIC FOUR: Here's The Latest On Vanessa Kirby And Joseph Quinn's Involvement With The Reboot

We have yet another Fantastic Four casting rumour to share with you, this time regarding exactly how close Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn are to playing the MCU's Invisible Woman and Human Torch...

The speculation surrounding who will star in Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four reboot shows no sign of slowing down, but it appears we have at least one semi-confirmed cast member.

Despite reports the role of Invisible Woman was Margot Robbie's for the taking, we've since learned that Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One star Vanessa Kirby has emerged as the frontrunner. It's a great casting choice if correct and Murphy's Multiverse believes she's a lock for the role.

According to the side, "Kirby is the only actor believed to have actually agreed to a deal before the SAG strike."

In other words, all signs point to her being the MCU's Sue Storm. Again, it's hard to find fault with that decision and we're sure she'll do this strong female character - and the most powerful member of this team - justice on screen.

As for those rumours about Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn playing the Human Torch, it's said concept art exists of Johnny Storm with the actor's likeness. In fact, this report goes on to say Quinn is "expected to close a deal once Hollywood returns to business as usual."

So, nothing is set in stone, but Marvel Studios and Matt Shakman may well have found the Storm siblings. Where does that leave Mister Fantastic and The Thing? As of now, we don't know.

Matt Smith, who starred alongside Kirby in The Crown, is the latest actor to be thrown into the mix for Reed Richards, though we're hearing Adam Driver remains in contention. Ben Grimm, on the other hand, appears no closer to being cast.

It was recently rumoured that Fantastic Four will be set in the 1960s, with Marvel's First Family later finding their way into the present day similar to Captain America. If true, it's a clever way to put a fresh spin on the team while leaning into the tone of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's early Fantastic Four adventures.

Fantastic Four is set to be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.

@Saga - If Gemma Chan, Alfred Woodard and Djimon Hounsou can play multiple roles so can Alice Eve.

Vanessa doesn't really give me that warm feeling I typically associate with Sue Storm, but who knows what they're going for with this adaptation.

@Fares - She's a great actress, so I'm sure she'll have the range to pull it off.

@Fares - Based on what I’ve seen her in, I agree that we haven’t seen that from her. But she is a solid actress and I’m sure she could adapt into the motherly role and she would do really well as a bad-ass Sue.

No update article on Majors?

@SauronthePower - So, Majors Aug 3rd court date was postponed until September 6 because, according to the prosecution’s own words: ‘the people were not prepared to present their case at this time’

The presiding judge geanted a one month continuance but told the prosecution that: ‘the clock is on and not infinite for the people to present their case against Majors’

**ALL matter of public record

Seems to me that Jan Wenner somehow managed to do an absolute bang-up job presenting the prosecution’s case in a 6 week timeframe but, here we are, 6 MONTHS later and the people who are collecting a salary to do the same “are not prepared at this time” 🤷‍♂️

Now the absolute BEST part: rumor is circulating heavily that star witness and stockholm ‘survivor’ Grace Jabbari fled out of the US back to her homeland in the UK and the prosecution is unable to get her to comply with a return to present their case; the same case wherein Jabbari specifically stated in that initial text dump that she did not present the case to the police as they were attempting to coach.

For someone who has a very public and very reinforced restraining order against Team Majors (he’s also living in LA (you know, about 1100 geographic miles from NYC)) it would seem strange to be running across the ocean in hiding when your opportunity to bring ‘justice’ is now 🤔

@SauronthePower - Majors is 100% innocent and the prosecutor is delaying because they know it
