Variety/Showblitz is reporting that Djimon Hounsou - who was in The Tempest and is a fan favorite for Black Panther - has signed on to play the 'Angel of Death' in Alex Proyas' upcoming film adaptation of the classic epic poem by John Milton, Paradise Lost. He joins Bradley Cooper (Lucifer) and Ben Walker (Michael the Archangel) in the much anticipated film, which is set to start filming early next year.

Djimon Hounsou is the latest heavenly figure to join the cast of Paradise Lost, and will play Abdiel, the angel of death, in Alex Proyas' adaptation of the Milton epic poem, Variety's Justin Kroll exclusively reports.
