Nearly six months after releasing the teaser trailer, we finally have new footage from Guy Rtichie's upcoming film King: Arthur: Legend of the Sword and it actually looks pretty sweet.
It starts out with an eerie voiceover that teases the madness to come and we're then treated to Charlie Hunnam kicking all kinds of ass across medieval Europe with Excalibur in hand. A few of the villains, led by Jude Law's Vortigern, are also shown along with a some of the more mystical beasts and monsters Arthur will face in his quest to reclaim what's rightfully his.
The "Kingdom" spot debuted earlier today during the NFC Championship and should run again this afternoon during the AFC Championship between the legendary New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Check it out below:
Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne.
When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.
