Also being approached is Javier Barem for the role of the god of war, Ares. Jonathan Liebsman (Darkness Falls, The Killing Room, the forthcoming Battle: Los Angeles) is directing, with Sam Worthington and Gemma Arteron returning from the original. Among the writers involved are Green Lantern and The Flash's Greg Berlanti and Dan Mazeau, and David Leslie Johnson (The Girl With the Red Riding Hood).

Franco is currently on screens in the critically acclaimed 127 Hours and will be starring next summer in Caesar: Rise of the Apes.

This movie may have potential... The first one they were mainly focused on the plot of the original clash of the titans film., This time they have more creative freedom to do what ever it is they want, so anything can happen.. I'm not going to worry about it just yet, i'll give it a chance

First one was HOLLYWOOD!

Meh to the second one... don't get me wrong I liked the first one for say an action movie but it had no class or depth of the original!

I mean this FREDDY etc etc, should not be made into REMAKES... REMAKES kinda suck... just continue the franchise or something!

Can do this but not a WONDER WOMAN movie, go [frick]ing figure?

The first movie was awful, yet I might actually see the sequel if it looks better than the first.

I'm confused...here's an equation.

Clash + Titans = Clash of the Titans

Titans = (x+x)^x

Clash = Swords, Scorpions, Water, Stuff

I see all clash, but who the freak is a Titan in these movies?

i thought the first one was alright, not as bad as people make out.

i don't know why they would want to make a sequel, but it could be worth a look.

The first one sucked plain and simple. Where was this great action? A bunch of badly animated, rubbish looking creatures jumping around while Sam Worthington throws a few shrimp on the barbie.

The first movie sucked ass. Now they're making a sequel? Not a lot of hope for this movie.

I'm not so sure that I have an opinion on this. I mean: I enjoyed the first one but I don't know if I want a sequel...........especially one with James in it.

Come on nobody doesnt want to see this sequel!
Forget this stupid idea and make the God Of War movie! Now thats the movie i wanna see in the big screen!:)... Kratos killing gods!:D That would be great! Save Javier Bardem and James Franco for that movie as Ares and Agenor!
And get Djimon Hounsou or Henry Simmons (Tv-Series Spartacus) as Kratos, Gerard Butler as the main villain god Zeus, Natalie Portman as Athena, Clancy Brown (with motion capture) as Hades, Cate Blanchett as the voice of Gaia, Brian Cox (with motion capture) as Hephaestus (The Smith God), Alexander Skarsgård as Helios, Michael Fassbender as Hermes and Hugo Weaving or Ray Stevenson as Poseidon.

i agree with alot of ppl here, i enjoyed the original a lot more then the remake, it was pretty crappy and i didnt think it deserved a sequel, on the other hand i like franco and think he is a pretty good and funny actor, hopefully this sequel has little to nothing in common with the remake and franco can make this an enjoyable movie, i like this type of fantasy movie genre and always hope any that are made succeed so that more are made
