@Kyos - After all the flack Man of Steel got for the mere fact of destruction?

I just don't get the point of it here. It's as though the point of this movie is to say, "We can do MORE destruction." It may have been a technical feat and/or an interesting plot beat in the 90s. But now?

@DerekLake - Well, the destruction by itself never bothered me that much in MoS.

And yeah, the point here seems to be "MOAR DESTRUCTION!!". In this case I'm okay with that, honestly. The original ID is one of the movies of its kind that I really enjoyed in all its stupidity, and this one looks like a kind of worthy successor.

The movie will be visually stunning but as the for the movie in general,it doesn't matter how much you polish a turd its still a turd.
