Entertainment Weekly has gotten an exclusive first look at a new photo from the upcoming movie Immortals featuring Henry Cavill as Theseus.

On 11/11/11, witness the 3-D epic battle as mere men become Immortals. Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares.

Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king’s hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man’s conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion…until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope.

Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders–including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff) — one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend.

Look for Immortals in theaters on November 11, 2011!

Technically it is. A graphic novel is being developed. Why do ppl feel the need to say that all the time?

I sure hope he puts on a few, at least 20, pounds of muscle before shooting superman. I'm tired of the scrawny sup's, come on. Smallville is in much better shape to wear the suit. He has got to be as big if not bigger than captain america.

the site is called COMICBOOKMOVIE.com, so news/rumors about COMICBOOKMOVIES & to some fauly tvshows (about comic book/GN) should be on it. If any tv show/movie can have news/rumors about it be on this site why have the name, change it, so it encompasses other forms of entertainment.

my personal opinion on the matter im sure few if not many will disagree but it's cool

oh yea...im sure ill get this but Cool Story, Bro lol

damn, i am more pumped for this movie than i ever was with Clash of the Titans. could be because i think Worthington is an overrated actor and didn't fit the part at all, but this is looking more and more badass

the Superman Reboot will make X-Men reboot,Spidey reboot look like classics.
Horrible casting,worst ever.
A Midget Superman,an old hag as lois lane,Zod again,an egoist Director who makes movies for himself...the superman reboot is doomed.

I' still prefer someone like Armie Hammer should be Superman.Size matters.

It is to be seen that who was worse,Reynolds as GL or Cavill as Supes.

"Not a CBM"?

Guess what, "Burger King" also do fries and beverages, not just burgers.

"Topshop" also sell pants/trousers and underwear, not just tops.

This site is called "Comic Book Movie" and has articles on comic books that aren't movies without anyone moaning. Why can't we do the odd "movie" article in the same vien? Especially when that movie has a connection to a CBM or falls into the same genre of action/syfy/fantasy.

Ok, NOW he looks like Superman! Glad he didn't get the role in "Superman Returns", I thought he looked like such a puss in "The Count of Monte Cristo". Now, he looks like a mature Kal-el.

@ SelinaKyle - I wouldn't go as far ar to report the comments this time as I don't think they were meant in a particularly offensive way. I'm just sick of people jumping on the "not a CBM" high horse without actually thinking. This article does have a legitimate CBM link to it but other exceptions need making from time to time. Remember Hancock? Not a CBM but still a superhero movie and therefore falls under this sites umbrella (IMHO). Other syfy/fantasy movies could and should do the same.

The sites name is to give an indication to the sort of topic it covers, not a set in concrete description that can never be diverted from. Just like my "Burger King" comment. The name is there to say "we do fast food but excel at burgers" not, "we only do burgers! Want a drink or fries? Frag off somewhere else".
