NOAH Prepares His Family In First Clip From Darren Aronofsky's Biblical Epic

Last week was a bit rough for Darren Aronofsky's Noah as several Middle Eastern and north African countries banned the film. Let's not dwell on the negatives. Check out the first clip with Russell Crowe, and a new international television spot.

"A clip from Darren Aronofsky's Biblical blockbuster Noah, in which Russell Crowe outlines his plan to survive the coming flood-ocalypse." - Total Film

NOAH is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood. The screenplay was written by Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel and revised by Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter John Logan (GLADIATOR, HUGO). Scott Franklin and Aronofsky of Protozoa Pictures, along with Mary Parent of Disruption Entertainment, will produce the film. The film will be executive produced by Ari Handel (BLACK SWAN), Arnon Milchan of New Regency and Chris Brigham (INCEPTION, ARGO).

Noah is directed by Darren Aronofsky ("The Wrestler"), and stars Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth and Anthony Hopkins. It floods theaters March 28th, 2014.

Looks good. I'm also interested in Ridley Scott's Exodus coming out later on this year. Christian Bale as Moses.

So Christian Bale goes from playing a man that thought he was god to playing a man that was bossed around by god, interesting.

In fearful day, in raging night,

With strong hearts full, our souls ignite.

When all seems lost in the War of Light,

Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!

Here's what I find funny, is that their are plenty of people out there that say the world sucks, and that people are inherently bad, and that society's gotten so that when destruction happens, we had it coming....but if you mention God creating the flood to wipe out whoever choose to not get on the ark, he's a monster

@EthanSmith

I thought they already confirmed that? Scientists already did some huge DNA trace back to the mother of civilization and the results were that everyone came from a black woman from Africa. So yeah, DEFINITELY black. Scientifically accurate. Don't mind Hollywood's whitewashing.

No. Bad science! The Mitochondrial Eve was not one woman. It's simply the furthest back we can trace shared mitochondria. She was not the first woman, nor the only woman at that time. Mitochondria carries less genetic information than Y chromosomes, so it simply doesn't yield as much info as studying male ancestry.
The biblical Eve wasn't the first either. The character in Genesis is based on one of El's 2 wives and was the mother of Baal in Uguritic history, and it is insinuated that she originally had moved to Canaan from Uruk.
