An impressive opening for Snow White and the Huntsman has already seen Universal reveal plans to move ahead with a sequel, but it seems as if you were all somewhat underwhelmed by the first instalment. The majority of you decided that it came somewhere between being both good and bad, a response perhaps reflected by its 47% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Read my review of the film by clicking HERE.

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

STARRING:

Kristen Stewart as Snow White
Chris Hemsworth as Eric, the Huntsman
Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna
Sam Claflin as Prince William
Lily Cole as Greta

RELEASE DATE: Out Now.

Contrary to Pattinson, when given a worthy script and director, she can actually shine. And as unattracted as i was to her in the beginning of the Twilight franchise, i have to admit she's really morphing into a beautiful woman. She's no Emma Watson but she's getting there. I probably won't go see this film in theaters but i'm definitely getting the blu-ray.

movie just felt like it went on forever, and there was no pay off.

visually, it looked good.
it was shot wonderfully, it just seem rather slow.

only thing i took from it was that the Armor was pretty dope and the popcorn could have used a bit more butter.

She's still masculine and bad at acting.
But I want to see the movie because of Hemsworth.

It was ok, not bad, not fantastic, it was just ok. Hemsworth and Theron performances were the highlights of the film.

"She's actually really good in this movie..I couldn't believe it either."

Hmmmm.....to each their own, but typical Stewart as far as I am concerned and I am not alone on that....

"Stewart moves through the picture looking noble and sadly dull, unwittingly setting the stage for the evil queen to steal her show."

"Yet another film that tells us, over and over again, that Kristen Stewart is the most valuable, sought-after being in the universe, without showing us any reason why she would be."

"...Charlize Theron deadens her eyes and summons pure evil, but Kristen Stewart, tasked with being 'life itself,' has to work pretty hard to muster any."

"This "Snow White" is one of those revisionist fairy tales in which the princess takes control of her own destiny. A different actress might have been able to sell that, but Stewart can't..."

"Only Bob Hoskins as the blind seer Muir comes close to making us care. We can almost glean Snow White's heroic possibilities through his clouded eyes. As much as we'd like to, we certainly can't from Stewart's efforts."

"What Stewart shows in the daunting demands of a Joan of Arc role, opposing the likes of a monster of guile and evil like Theron's majestic, entirely ruthless villain, is that she just can't hack it."

it was all that i thought it would be, most of you guys saw epicness when viewing the trailer but from the first trailer i saw just a beautiful movie with underwhelming writing i don't know what movie you guys were hoping for but from the trailers it was what it was advertised as. ps charlise was beautiful but that wasn't her best work, she needed to bring that crap down a notch, for once kristen's acting was a little refreshing after over the top theron.

that bit in Zathura is actually a statue. i saw an awesome behind the scenes bit where they made it. looks (and acts) so much like the real Kristen!
Stumblin

This movie was painful to watch. I never seen Kristin Stewart in anything, this was the first time I actually saw her in a movie. She sucked, horribly.

Theron stole the show and was awesome, pretty much the only reason to even watch this headache of a movie.

Too much forced chemistry, no pacing, awful action and choreographs, Hemsworth was pointless, the CGI, though not the troll he looked good or the witch doing her thing, those were pretty good...it was the the happy forest scenes that had crap CGI. They couldn't get a single real animal for any of those scenes?

Oh, and the Huntsman randomly teaching Snow White how to stab in the middle of the Dark Forest while running for their lives overly foreshadowed how she takes out the queen...so [frick]ing brain dead stupid.

i confirm Stumblin's comment.
i saw so much missed opportunities, poor writing, and so much potential, but the film completely fell short.

among the things, Stumblin mentioned, the castle siege was laughable. stewart wearing leather pants under her dress... her ability to ride a horse BAREBACK even after being locked in a tower for most of her life... let alone being able to ride in full armor AND wield a shield and sword...so bad...

theron, however, was awesome. her costumes were incredible and i just wish she did more than just wait in the castle.

Glad I'm not the only one HelaGood! My girlfriend couldn't stand the movie, she just kept saying how she wished she could be the evil queen because she was so bad ass.

Most of the theater was laughing at the scene where she just finds a horse hanging out waiting for her and the whole riding it bareback...what the hell?

This could have been a really great movie and reintroduction into a classic story.
