Not confirmed.

Ridley Scott also has The Cartel on deck, which Fox paid $6 mil for the rights. Wouldn't be surprised to see Scott produce Prometheus 2 instead of directing though.

How does Scott have the time and stamina to do all this??

The first Prometheus was a totally shit,the most dumb sci-fi of the last years,I hope the new writers can improve it and make it at last decent,Scott now is puppet director.

I kind of don't understand the exagerated hate Prometheus STILL gets, its a very competently made sci-fi film with stunning visuals a good amount of suspence. In comparison to Alien it isn't up to nuff of course...and some of the character choices are bizzare at best, but its an entertaining film.

Prometheus was not "dumb, stupid, or, boring" it was intelligent and thought provoking. I'm sick and tired of people bash in the movie just because they don't get it. It's not an Alien movie and never claimed to be. It's a Scfi-fi horror/drama, not a simple monster movie. I for one will be first in line to see it

As long as Lindelof isn't writing, the film has hope.

Scott is a visually-stunning director. It's just his stories/dialogue are not always good.

@Gibman Yeah, it invoked thought and tries to be slightly more intelligent than your average blockbuster, but suffers from an uneven narrative and bad character decisions throughout the film.

The first one has some big flaws, but I wouldn't say it's bad as what people say. We did get to see some live action hentai on the big screen.

Hated Prometheus. Then I watched it again with the understanding that it was going to make no sense, and I loved it. Huh. I guess I'm cautiously optimistic about part 2.

Mostly (Aliens reference) everyone loves to hate on this movie but Ridley Scott even said its not an alien prequel but an expansion of the mythos and thats why i loved it ... For what is was alone the visuals the acting the ending was nice... then again Damon Lindelof did kind of mess up the script

It doesn't matter if the sequel sucks, Ridley Scott gets a lifetime pass for Black Hawk Down and Gladiator.

I don't get the hate!

I mean I only saw 15 minutes before I fell asleep and those 15 minutes were good!

Was there more to the movie than that?

@marvel72

I've never seen Blade Runner and I saw Alien so long ago that I barely remember it, but I remember liking Aliens better though.

@blackandyellow

I think Blade Runner is the best Sci-Fi movie of all time,everything to me about the movie is perfect from the performances,the music,the effects just everything.

As for Alien & Aliens I like both of them exactly the same even though they are very different movies.
