The follow up to the 2010 film, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, we now have our first look at the sequel:













Be sure to check out the trailer next week, the film is scheduled for an August 16th 2013 release.

Wondering if they are planning on adapting the whole series, since this sequel took a while to make and the stars are only getting older. Also wondering if after they are done with this series, will they adapt the other book series related to this, like Heroes of Olympus?

Annabeth has a bad hair dye, if they where trying to make her look like her like the book, they epically failed.

Stanley Tucci as Mr. D looks awesome. Just how i pictured him when i read about him.

@thebatman1 looks like they are retconning some stuff, but still why would you recast James Bond though he was one of the best parts of the first movie.


But they are still [frick]ing up with some stuff, like including a maticore. but i wonder how they'll explain luke in this movie.

I think the thing they messed up most was no mention of Cronos or Thalia. Especially the Cronos stuff. How can they not even mention the main villain in the 1st movie

@thebatman1 Kronos was mentioned , once during Brunner's lecture at the musume, but not mentioned to be the main bad guy.

This is their chance to fix the franchise. It's sad too, because the books are really good. This could've been the next Harry Potter. Not sticking to the book for the 1st movie was a huge mistake. The stuff with Ares and of course Kronos were really important. I hope this is a success so they can adapt The Titan's Curse. That book is really good.
