Regardless of how good or bad Hercules ends up being, it will be worth watching simply to see just how much Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has put into the role. What leads us to that assumption? Well, check out the video and brief story below to see exactly what we mean! Brett Ratner lost the goodwill of many moviegoers thanks to X-Men: The Last Stand, but with Hollywood's highest grossing actor in the title role, Hercules could be something of a redemption story for the filmmaker. It certainly looks like a lot of fun and the action appears to be top notch. Also starring Aksel Hennie, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson and Tobias Santelmann, Hercules is set to hit theaters July 25th, 2014. Are you guys excited for the movie?

I asked the prop department to lock me in with real steel chains that I couldn't break, so the performance would be real. When HERCULES finally accepts his fate of being the son of Zeus, it's THE epic moment of the mythology - and our movie. We shot this scene 8 times - I blacked out every time. Down to my knees. Well worth the fun pain.. this moment is iconic. Im excited for you to see it... #HercDontLikeBlackingOut #HappilyDoItAgain #HERCULESMovie
