Green Lantern footage was reportedly going to premier at the San Diego Comic-Con but attaching it to the Blu-ray release of Clash of the Titans will give the fans that wont be able to make the con a chance to be in on the hype.
This from thehdroom.com:
"This year's Clash of the Titans remake starring Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Alexa Davalos, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson is coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on July 27 from Warner Home Video sans the controversial tacked-on 3D. Packaged in with the Blu-ray version (and possibly DVD, too, though unconfirmed) is a sneak peek of The Green Lantern film with Ryan Reynolds that is currently shooting in Louisiana."
Here are the Blu-ray specs:
The Clash of the Titans Blu-ray will sport a 2.35:1 1080p transfer and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. A digital copy and standard DVD of the film will be included along with the following bonus features (in addition to coveted The Green Lantern sneak peek):
Sam Worthington: An Action Hero for the Ages
Harnessing the Gods: Maximum Movie Mode
Deleted Scenes
Alternate Ending
BD-Live
Louis Leterrier has stated in the past that he left a lot of material that he wanted in the film out of the theatrical release. Hopefully the Deleted Scenes and the Alternate ending will shed some light on what he was talking about.
UPDATE!
After Super Scooper Intrepid Reporter Multipurposeponi left the tactful comment below I deceided to do a little checking myself and took this question all the way to the front of the line. This from the Vice President of Warner Home Video:
"Not accurate. No sneak peek of Green Lantern and we have not announced our streetdate yet."
So a special shout out goes to Multi for bringing this Debunked issue to my attention. Thanks dude!
