there are sometimes this movie looks like its going to be good, but sometimes it looks horrible. the only reason im going to go see it is because of the snake eyes and storm shadow fight

Well I can tell you one thing donkeypuncher i'm not going because of two dudes (Which don't get me wrong, will be sweet!) But i'm going because of the duo of Rachel Nichols and Sienna!!! THAT'S gonna be worth the admission alone, and hey if sh** blows up in the process, then BONUS!!!

I still can't get over the bionic Halo suits. In the previews when asked for the name of the group, Hawk says "I didn't". I am guessing them yelling "Yo Joe" is out.

all the stuff about gijoe based on a comic based on a movie from the 1940's, i thought it was a cartoon and everything spawned off of that....and why people dont seem to realize how sucky this movie will be....its all very confusing

In the 1980's the toy company licensed out the property and had it made into a cartoon to help sell the toys.

This was basically the exact same deal as it was with Transformers, Masters of The Universe, M.A.S.K., Centurions, Gobots, and Inhumanoids.

So as far as the incarnation poorly represented by this movie it was based mostly on the cartoon.

Marvel comics responded to it's popularity and made a comic version which was aimed at those who, like myself, balked at the idea of a cartoon about war where the characters fire off millions of rounds every episode but no one ever takes a hit.
