Ray Park On (Potentially) Returning As Snake Eyes In GI: JOE 3 & Darth Maul In STAR WARS

Although Park reprised the role of Snake Eyes in the recent GI JOE: Retaliation and a third movie has been greenlit, the actor says it's not guaranteed that he'll be asked back. Even less likely is the return of Darth Maul of course! Click on for more..

The enigmatic Snake Eyes was -- just like the first movie -- a highlight of GI JOE: Retaliation, and it's expected that the character will return for a third time in the inevitable threequel..but that doesn't necessarily mean that the actor that played the masked ninja both previous times will also be back! MTV Geek caught up with Ray Park at Wizard World NYC, and the actor explained that though he's hoping to be asked back, “nothing’s ever safe or guaranteed in the movie business". He does say that if he does get to play Snake Eyes again, he wants to showcase the character with two swords, like the action figure, as well have him ride a motorbike and be accompanied by his wolf sidekick Timber. And what about Darth Maul? Fans will probably know that the character was resurrected for the Clone Wars cartoon, but it's probably unlikely that Disney will go the same route with their new Star Wars movies. Still, Park tells MTV that he'd love the chance to return. “Just give me food and water, and I’m there,” he said. Click on the link below for more from park.

Darth Maul is my favorite Star Wars character despite not being a Star Wars fan. Bring him back somehow. I'd love it.

In all honesty of they want a Perfect Deadpol movie get Ray Park to be Deadpool and Nolan North for the voice over. It would be absolutley perfect.

Ray Park + Nolan North voice over = The Perfect Deadpool

Or just hire Sean William Scott!

If they reboot the prequels, I want Maul to be the Vader of the prequels and I want him portrayed similar to how he was portrayed in the CW series.

And I'm not sure Ray Park has that type of acting range.

Best Snake Eyes ever though.

Darth Maul, the best part of the prequels. He had such a great presence about him.

@Jollem

The main reason why sequels are and arent made are cuz of box office results. Remember folks, in the end, its all about the money.
A GREAT movie may not get a sequel cuz it didnt do well at the box office (but had great reviews)
But a mediocre movie that brings in the big bucks to studios will obviously get a sequel regardless of reviews.

You know what role he should play, Iron Fist, along side a Dwayne Johnson Luke Cage, they already have great chemistry on screen.

Lucasfilm obliterated the coolness of Maul in Clone Wars.

It was as if Lucas couldnt rest if fans had anything to like with Star Wars so he had to destroy it.

And if you think about that then you realize that the only way to damage the originals even more than the Special Editions would be to bring back the original, cast after theyre elderly.

So even if Lucas doesnt direct, the Old Luke, Leis and Han ideas were his.

After Episode 7-9 are out we can never watch 4-6 the same way. Because we will have seen the original heroes reduced to aged supporting cast members who die or get killed.

So dont be so sure more Luke, Leis and Han is a good idea. Its a Lucas idea.

Rarely has some much character-potential gone wasted as with Darth Maul in Star Wars.

"Lucasfilm obliterated the coolness of Maul in Clone Wars."

Sounds like someone who never watched an episode of Clone Wars without Maul in it.The Clone Wars made Maul into an actual character.

nah, he was cooler in the movie. He barely had any lines and still ended up becoming a fan favorite

If this guy had been the main villain throughout the prequels.....damn who knows. Best character in Star Wars Cannon next to Boba Fett and Darth Vader.

@Thegeekygurl for an obvious catfish your a huge beeotch, Sam Witwer rules as maul in the clone wars. Time to get off the Bandwagon people. Lucas wasn't the hack internet yokels like to claim, he added a lot of incredible stories to his mythology in the clone wars.

@gaikinger still better than the prequels.

@poop23 He was cool in the cartoon. He obviously looked cooler in live action, but his live action potential was wasted, the cartoon brought depth to the character.
gaikinger
gaikinger - 7/3/2013, 7:12 PM
Anything was better than the prequels. I really didn't like the so called depth they ha e the character. Does a wild panther have depth? A tiger? No. I wanted a mall that waspure instinct and mystery. They totally femenized him on Clone Wars.....total crap.
gaikinger
gaikinger - 7/3/2013, 7:13 PM
....a mall....that's funny...I meant Maul. That would be a cool mall though when you think about it.
ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 7/3/2013, 7:22 PM
@gaikinger So...we just should pretend that he was an animal? Really?

He masters the force, he can talk like humans, but he can't have an a personality, an evil one at that?

Just because we love the Hulk, doesn't mean we don't want to see Bruce Banner.

Maul was still evil and still bad-ass.
