I think it's gonna suck. I can't stand the fact of the casting. None of the character fit. They need big name mothers in this. Throughout the whole cast. WE ARE talking GI JOE here.

Leee, its not closed minded to think this movie looks shit! Im not saying it will be shit, but it LOOKS shit. That is undeniable but you are like one of only 3 or 4 people on this whole site that doesn't think so. That's cool and all but i think its less a case of the doubters having no balls as the optimists having no taste!:)

Who gives a [frick] how old the movie is! Blade Runner was made in the 80s and is still head and shoulders above modern sci fi shit like Strange Days or Paycheck! Sure, special effects date but that's all. Effects don't make a movie. Wolverine had bad effects and a dodgy script but it also had Jackman and Schreiber being awesomely awesome as Wolvie and Sabertooth, as well as some very good action scenes..it was disappointing but it wasn't shit.

I'll give you that, JACKMAN & SCHREIBER were perfect (Even though they was brothers lol) but that's it, it was like FOX was trying to pimp out lots of X-MOVIES outta it instead of making a darn good movie, and don't say they wasn't, they was! It was a SELL-OUT movie and i feel for the actors because they, especially JACKMAN 'n' SCHREIBER deserved better!

I don't know if thats the case. They certainly crammed too many characters in but that was more a case of bowing to the fanboys! People wanted Gambit and Deadpool and they gave em to em..ok so the [frick]ed it up! But i enjoyed the movie for what it was, im not a huge stickler for accuracy to the comics really, as long as they get the essence of the characters..and they did that. I want a better sequel too though.

Either way, i bet Wankerines will still be better than GI Blow!

It will be good to see peoples reactions after it comes out. Im gonna go see it prob opening night cos a bunch of my mates are and im curious to see if its as bad as it looks! But if i end up liking it i will be the first to admit i was wrong. BUT , if that does happen, the people in charge of marketing the thing did a shit job!

I watched a movie online last night called Long Weekend with Jim Caviezel..its alright, worth a look.

I for one am going to TOTALLY reserve judgement until I actually see the film. Both sides COULD be right - it may blow serious chunkage, or it might be the next 'Iron Man' (okay, that may be streatching it a bit...actually, a lot). The point is (as you all seemed to agree), you never know. As for it being a 'classic' and standing the test of time, that's another story. Ror's example 'Blade Runner' is one becasue it DOES stand the test of time and still looks as BRILLIANT today as it it did back in 1982 (1982?!! God, I'm old).

Of course, I think we're all forgetting the other side of the 'classic' spectrum - the total stinkers. You know the ones I'm talking about... the movies SOOOOOO bad, you've compelled to watch them (kinda' like watching a car wreck) - 'Nick Fury: Agent of SHEILD' comes to mind...
