Paramount recently announced that Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is set to kick off this Summer’s Comic-Con@Home online event on July 21, and the full trailer for the movie will be online tomorrow. In the meantime, we have a new poster featuring the legendary ninja of the title.

Early promotional material featured Henry Golding's silent warrior without his mask, but he's donning his signature helmet here. It's gone through a slight redesign, but still recognizable as the character's striking original look.

Check out the new poster below along with the recently released page-to-screen character promos featuring Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Baroness, Scarlett, Hard Master and Blind Master in action.

"A tenacious loner is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him."

Star Henry Golding will be joined by Andrew Koji (Fast & Furious 6) as Storm Shadow, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Scarlett, Úrsula Corberó (The Secret Life of Pets) as Baroness, and Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master. The movie is directed by Robert Schwentke.

We recently found out that the G.I. Joe Origins movie has been pushed up from its original October release, and will now hit theaters on July 23.

Having the character show his face and talk instantly makes this a Snake Eyes-In-Name-Only

GI Joe was army propaganda before my time (I was mid/late 90s)

But I like Henry Golding, so i hope this works out for him

@DannRamm113 - I mean, I think the primary goal was to sell toys, especially since the US wasn't fighting a war in the 80s.

Real talk… I feel like Snake Eyes is such a hard IP to adapt and sell to live action. Especially to international properties (yes, sorry America this wasn’t a big hit over here)

So I can let the part time maskless Snake Eyes slip. I hope this is successful, and does something fresh and new with the G.I. Joe IP.

@WakandanQueen - came here to say the same for both. Koji as Storm Shadow is probably who I'm looking forward most to in this (with Uwais being close second)

Just finished watching Godzilla Vs King Kong.

The monster fights were great, the humans all sucked apart from the extremely hot Eiza Gonzalez.
