It has been confirmed that Paramount's G.I. Joe: Retaliation 3D will run for one week in North American IMAX theaters beginning March 29th, and will be available in international IMAX cinemas the day before. Hit the jump for the full press release.

Joe: Retaliation, the action-packed follow-up to the 2009 box office hit G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format and released to select IMAX® theatres internationally starting March 28 and for a one week run in North America beginning March 29.

The IMAX release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX 3D Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

@ monkey - I agree, who makes a statement like that? It's so awkward. First off are there "IMAX fans"? Are there people who go to see just any IMAX movie just cause they love IMAX so much? Second of all "Dwayne Johnson resonates"? Alright then.

on wiki it said they went back to reshoot this movie cuz they wanted to do the 3D thing..and cuz they didnt want to kill off duke...i hope thats true...

read that like when the first trailer came out

Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander, Firefly and style of the film is top notch. Rest doesnt scream G.I. Joe to me.
