EXCLUSIVE: First Look at Green Hornet, Transformers 3 & Thundercats Teaser Posters

Catch a glimpse of the official teaser posters revealed today for some of next summer's big-budget studio pictures after the jump...

We've already seen the official logos for Marvel Studio's Captain America and THOR films, as well as the gigantic floor presentation for DC Entertainment; now it's time to take a look at some of the other interesting properties coming out of Hollywood. One again, thanks to CBM Scooper Nick for the images!

First up we have the teaser poster for Seth Rogan's first foray into the action movie genre, The Green Hornet. The film's trailer was previewed at the Expo today as well, and from what I've heard it wasn't received too well:

Next up is the Transformers 3 display from Paramount Pictures, which included a full sized replica of Autobot Bumblebee (in both robot and car form) as well as the first official advertisement for the film, which is currently in production:

Last, but certainly not least, is a look at the revamped Thundercats logo. The artwork which stood beside the logo matched the one released earlier this week in conjunction with the announcement of a new Thundercats animated series. However, according to an insider attending the Expo, the Warner Bros representatives around this display were not promoting the cartoon, but a live action film instead! Though the 2011 date on the poster is more than likely an allusion to the animated series, with the studio already looking for marketing opportunities a live-action film must already be in the works.

That's all for now, folks. Stay tuned throughout the week for more of our coverage of the 2010 Licensing International Expo.

Lame teaser for TF3 and Green Hornet. Anticipating Thundercats, though.

Explain how Thundercats can be out in 2011, there is no way they can cast it, pre production, post produce it and get it out in a crammed 2011 movie season. 2012 may be more realistic

Green Hornet poster is a [frick]ing AWFUL piece of design. TF3 is a lame name for the film, they should never do that again. Also, I keep noticing everyone saying "Thundercats Movie Posters" all over the place. It's not for the movie, just for those unclear, it's the new TV series next year. Just wanted to get that out of the way.

I think some of you are mistaken...I'm pretty sure that those Thundercats posters are for the upcoming animated series and not a movie. I don't think a Thundercats movie has even been green-lit. Has it?

claybo4131 - 6/8/2010, 9:27 PM
Warner Bros last time I knew was trying to get Thundercats off the ground and the script was actually leaked out back in Feb.

@barney Thundercats was the best 80s cartoon, alltime classic.

I wonder how they'll screw the Transformers out of screentime for the third movie.

I had no idea that the Thundercats were getting another show. That's great!

Now all I need is a modern, realistic(ish) G.I. Joe show, and I'll be set.

@WarNoodle. You're right, that did blow my mind, that anyone could be so epically stupid as to make such a thing.

Anyway, excuse me for saying this, but, ahem, you were told by an "insider at the expo" that they're really advertising a live-action Thundercats movie? And the 2011 thing is for the animated series, but they're really trying to advertise the movie? Forgive me if I remain skeptical for now. Although, if done right, I'd be the first in line to see a Thundercats movie!

Orehrepus - 6/8/2010, 9:44 PM
I agree with JayOh. I don't think Thundercats is being made a movie. It's made as a new animated series. I read it somewhere, I thought it was here in CBM, but apparently not.

@gtrman: HOOOOO's yourself! LMFAO! Roar for me, ladies!

The Thundercats poster is not for a movie. It's for an animated series.

The TF3 poster would have been epic with a proper Shockwave or Omega Supreme. As for Green Hornet, they ought to direct to DVD on that one. Maybe I will pick it up when it hits Binkies Bargain Bin at Walmart for $4.

IF ever Thundercats is made into a live action movie, there's only one thing I ask... do not, I repeat, NOT let Michael Bay anywhere near it!

He's already groping his greedy filthy hands on the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle live action movie now. How many more childhood memories is he going to ruin?

@WarNoodle-- Well, it is pretty epic. And it appears that plenty of people on this article missed it on the other...so, carry on.
