Green Lantern news has been in short supply lately. We know Ryan Reynolds will play Hal Jordan and that their has been location problems and..thats pretty much it!

El Mayimbe over at Latino Review says he has "done some snooping" and come up with the short list of actresses lined up to play Carol Ferris. Im not sure how legit it is, he just says "according to his sources" these are the 5 in the running...

KERI RUSSELL(Mission:Impossible 3, Voice of Wonder Woman)


DIANE KRUGER(Inglorious Basterds, Troy)


BLAKE LIVELY(Gossip Girl)


JENNIFER GARNER(Elektra, Daredevil)




I'm not too familiar with Lively, but the others are all very good actresses, and very easy on the eyes--so it's a tough call. After her great performance in "Inglorious Basterds" though, my vote goes to Diane Kruger. Who would you folks choose?

Gawd... can't believe their making me root for Garner. I hate all of them. The worst has to be Green, can't stand her face. She suffers from a mild case of Kristen "Fart Face" Stewart syndrome.

Russells hot I wouldn't mind her playing the live action WW. As for this role I give it to Green. They are all lovely though.

Green was the best bond girl..ever! Seriously, she is actually the only one that had any kind of personality beyond "tough but vulnerable eye candy"..So she would be great, as would Russel ..and say what you want about Elektra, garner is a good actress and I thought she did a good job with the character in DD. But it has to be Kruger, I think I may have actually fallen in love with her in Basterds a bit.

I would say Kruger because of beautiful she is and well Garner has done a couple of Super Hero moves need something new. And green isn't to bad either...

i pass on garner cause she's been in 2 cbm's already and i dont think its the right character for her

TEABAG, you saucy bitch, good to have you back! How’s your back? You gotta check out the memorial tribute to TheMyth over in Editorials, HAWK did a great job. It was getting rough around here lately. Myth is in a terrible way, Hawk is down and still unconscious as a result of a serious motorcycle crash, and you’re out with surgery, its been a bad month.

@ Shaman, I… I can’t believe you can’t feel the hotness of Eva Green, (MY GOD!) but to each their own, I guess.

I like Green and I think she may have the inside track because of her having worked with Campbell before. I also like Russell; she has a plucky toughness I like. Kruger, I think is extremely hot, but as Ferris? Eeh. As for Garner….Please, no. I think there should be a “fool me once, fool me twice” clause to CBM, if you bomb out in two flicks as the same character then you just need to go home, Garner’s Elektra earned her a CBM ban from me. The other girl I’ve never seen before so I hold judgment.

Blake Lively is way too young. Jennifer Garner great actress but ill be thinking she is gonna fight daredevil and bullseye any minute now. They need a good actress who can be mature, serious, and believable. So my vote goes to Keri Russell.

@ TEABAG: We all were, brother. Only a few people knew MYTH had cancer much less how serious his condition was. So when HAWK made the tribute and announced that things were, well, really bad it surprised almost all of us. Last week Hawk got hit by a car while driving his bike and bounced off a wall according to PHOENIX, he’s busted up and still unconscious when last she posted.
