In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

There is no way that is official. That is so generic. i don't believe it, just as i don't believe the UK one is accurate...
They have to be generic thumbs that they send to places like Amazon to promote the material before they decide on one....
I guess we'll see when it comes out.

That DOES look pretty generic. It looks like someone too that pix and pasted it on an xbox 360 game, even the "dvd" peeking out looks generic.

You know, I liked the movie. Thought Ryan Reynolds was good as HJ.

However, that picture of Parallax on the cover is freakin' ridiculous.

Parallax looks a bit like an old lady when shes angry on that boxart, you know... kinda granny-face.

So... in the movie, his [frick]ing ring pinpoints Paralax's exact coordinates, but on the cover he doesn't even know he's behind him. Gotta love those cute little chimps WB hires for marketing.

@ Gusto- What they are trying to tell you is that if you want to see a decent sequel you must buy this DVD! You must see it again in all of its lack of glory, take one for the team, to get the movie that we should have gotten in a couple of years.

LOL! they were so desperate that they had to write 'The Must-See Superhero Movie of The Year!' and quote their source as a bunch of jumbled letters in miniscule writing :P

Notice how they got cheap on us and used the boxes from some surplus copies of the Green Lantern game for the X-Box 360?

I will admit, if you haven't seen it you must. If only to understand what the rest of us had to suffer through.

I know I'm hitting pretty low on the belt, but it is easy to bash this movie. Sadly, I will buy it and enjoy it if only for the fact that one of my favorite heroes finally made it to the big screen. Its not like it was as bad as Gigli or something like that. It was decent.

They should have stuck with the Green Lanterns looking up in the sky. That was better than this. I will wait for this one to hit FX before I see it.

WOW, They really had to go cheap on that cover didn't they. Thats what happens when you play it safe DC/WB. When you make a generic movie out of something that could and by all rights SHOULD be epic beyond belief you have no money left to sell the piece of shit you created on a DVD format. Hence all the blu-ray/extended cut Bullshit your trying, just to attempt to make up for in profits. What an EPIC FAILURE in marketing and film making. This could have been so much bigger but you people just had to play it safe. Look what it got you.......Nothing. I guess without risk there is no failure, But theres no success either. Nothing ventured, Nothing gained ladies and gentle men. Well, Thats my 2 cents and I'm all out of change! Until next RANT!!!!! Wah ha ha Wah ha ha haha!!!

@ N- Including the DVD is great if you have more than one TV in the house and you only have a Blu Ray player on your best TV. I play my DVDs in the other rooms of my house and currently I am glad I had the DVD copies too since my Blu Ray player had to crap out on me.
