OnLocationVacations has discovered the newest location that has been tapped for use in the Green Lantern film.

The production will be using the University of New Orleans Science Building, located on Founders Ave in New Orleans, LA. The cast and crew will primarily be shooting interior scenes during the day. The campus is reported to be closed for the entirety of spring break.

Based off of the first draft of the script, the UNO Science Building fits as the backdrop for Hector Hammond's introduction scene. Get ready to see Sarsgaard with a big freakin' head.

Not sure what scenes they could be filming in the present, but perhaps it could be a flashback to Hal's younger years. IDK. Cool find though.

I hope that when that they're filming The First Avenger here in the UK the locations are this easy to come across so I can hunt them down! :)

Man, glad this movie is moving to new locations quickly, they are probaly just easing through production. Slightly off topic, SOMEONE CALM ME DOWN,I am extremely worried that ImageWorks was chosen to work on Green Lantern, Their effects don't look real and look 100% cgi, example: I Am Legend, There are so many other better effects teams like ILM or Weta they could have gone with.

yah I read the first draft of the Green lantern script, and the scenes with Sinestro are some of the best. With the combination of the great script, and the acting skills of Mark Strong we are gunna have a great Sinestro and a great GL movie. :)

How convincing could be a "Psychic Hydrocephalus" as a supervillain in such a blockbuster movie like this?
