4chan, a visual effects worker on the Martin Campbell-directed
Green Lantern cinematic adaption, speaks out. Sharing thoughts on many aspects of the film that many 'Lantern' fans had been worried of, essentially from the official teaser trailer, check it out what he has to say:
"The story will be alright. Some minor things that hardcore fans might gripe about, but it's gonna be pretty good. I can tell you the special effects will be quite the spectacle. The 3D is done pretty well and doesn't have a schlocky feel to it. Sony Imageworks (the main VFX house behind the show) are currently pushing VERY heavily on pushing out the last few shots. A friend of mine is about to head over there in a couple of weeks to finish some of their FX shots.
The only "problem" I would see is fans accepting Reynolds as Hal Jordan, which I don't think would be much of an issue since GL is nowhere near a high profile character as Batman or Superman." On the rumors of an entire Lantern trilogy already mapped out, he says,"All I can say is that Warner didn't plunk just under $200 million dollars on this movie to pull off a one trick poney."
Being that actions are better than words, hopefully the 2nd trailer, which should be released any day now, can gain faith. Anyhow, look for
Green Lantern in theaters June 17, in 3D!
