Now that we know that the costume for the Green Lantern will probably be full CGI,here are some new updates about the production of the film.Check it out:

-Temura Morrison looks legit as Abin Sur, although his head isn’t as elongated as in the concept art photos leaked awhile back.

-That leaked set photo of the silver ship is indeed Abin Sur’s crashed spaceship.

-I’m told that Reynolds is awesome in the role. He’s knocking it out of the park so far.

-The screenplay that leaked online is a very old draft. I’ve been told that the villains have changed a bit and that the rewritten script is supposedly way better in the end.

-Peter Sarsgaard’s makeup tests with the enlarged head look cool. He has wild hair, kind of like Jason Lee in "My Name is Earl" and, of course, the kind of traditional Hector Hammond stache.

There you go,looks like MultiPurposePoni was right about the Abin Sur's spacehip...

Thanks to /Film for the new updates!

cool news! i'm excited to see this! I watched Van Wilder the other day and I just couldn't see Hal Jordan lol but that's not really fair. After seeing Blade Trinity and Ammityville Horror, I see how diverse Reynolds can act.

That's a great picture of all seven lanterns. If they think Reynolds is knocking it out of the park that hopefully means good things for the movie.

If they are keeping Legion as the villain then I hope they make him look more like he did in the comics. After reading the leaked first draft, Legion looks almost NOTHING like the comic version. Unless in some alternate universe Legion has tentacles, a shark face, and is fear in a physical form.

Sauron, a couple of things. If you want info from a comic perspective I've found the easiest way to get people up to date on GL is essentially 4 books (read them in this order).
1. Sercret Origins
2. Emerald Twilight
3. Rebirth
4. The Sinestro Corps War
You can keep going further into Blackest Night if you're still interested at that point (you will be) but those there should basically serve as your GL Baptism.
As for the movie, InterestingJohn is right. They most likely won't delve too much into the new mythology of the emotional spectrum though I wouldn't be surprised if Sinestros costume in future films ended up yellow instead of the classic style.
But here's some interesting bits for all of you (and don't take this as gospel until it's officially announced). One of my friends is a voice actor and was called in by WB back in early March to audition for an unnamed GL animated project. My friend knew nothing about GL and called and asked me to clue him in on these characters. He read for 5 different roles. The roles were "Laira's Brother" (had no name), Tomar Re, Salaak, A GL made completely out of rock (he couldn't remember the name but when I asked he said the name was NOT Hannu) and wait for it...Atrocitus.
I don't expect anyone to believe me and that's understandable but Geoff Johns has hinted at an animated series recently as well as all but confirming a second Direct To Video DCU GL movie. So Sauron, if you're interested in the current GL mythos, keep your fingers crossed that this animated project takes off cuz it looks like it WILL incorporate it.

InterestingJohn, Us GL fans might not have liked everything (or anything in your case) about First Flight, but here's a guy, Sauron, who doesn't know much about GL and has gotten turned onto the character by watching and liking First Flight. In my opinion, anything that brings new readers or viewers into the fold is a good thing and a lot of people I've shown First Flight to, who don't know anything about GL, have loved it and want to know more!!!
First flight may not have been perfect but it did a great job of doing what it was supposed to do. Introduce new people to the character and world of Green Lantern!!

@InterestingJohn, Nah. Don't worry. It'll be fine. The Iron Man animated movie redefined "sucked" and I don't think too many came out of the Iron Man movie scratchin' their heads saying "I'm confused" but I'll give ya that it could have been better. Still, I enjoy it!
BTW I'm new to posting here but have been reading for a few weeks and have enjoyed your informed and passionate posts!

Please let Atrocitus be the one that kills Abin Sur instead of that other alien they had in mind. That would be sooooo awesome!
