A video recently released online gives us an overhead view of the Green Lantern movie set. Here's the info that accompanied the footage:

"They are filming the movie the Green Lantern outside our bldg...so Steve Suter tried to get some on tape, but you can't really see much. He swears Ryan Reynolds just crashed that red car, but he hadn't started filming by then."




MPP - I can't seem to place where this location is in relation to the Broome's Bar set or the stunt crane set. If any of you New Orleans natives can point it out on a map, be my guest:

to be fair we should get a look at the costum soon with all the set pics n stuff thats popping up .

man how anoyying is this we get loads of green lantern stuff that only started filming the other day but we are yet to get any good pics from Thor

Nice, wish he had taped the crash that would be wicked cool! I can't wait to see the costume design and how it looks in real life, shouldn't be long till we get some official photo...

Looks to be pretty big in scope!

I am not really a car guy but is the red charger (maybe camaro?) going to be Hal's? If so, it'll be a shame to get wrecked if they use that from Emerald Dawn.

Nice, but having to have two videos playing at the same time is somewhat aggravating. I thought they got rid of the auto-playing videos? Now they don't even have a pause button that I can see. Grrrr..

this appears to be around Baronne or Carondelet Streets, where they were filming Friday night. This was definitely related to the GL movie. I could see badges on some people that said something like "Green Lantern" on it (I was trying not to stare at stuff or attract too much attention around there). I didn't see any red cars by there, but they may have brought it in later. A lot seemed to be focused around a storefront for an electronics store that had some really cool WB logos on all the TV screens (couldn't get a pic with all the guys working right there). Be watching for the old Civic Theater sign in the background. It's too cool for them NOT to want to use it somehow.

It may be the second location also. It's kind of hard to tell from what I can see, and there are a lot of places that look similar in this part of town.

I don't think we have to worry about the costumes being bad seeing as how the costume designers are the same people who made the costumes for the Lord of the Rings. I bet when we finally see GL's costume , everyone's gunna go crazy. ;)
