Bruce Timm is the brains behind great animated television shows such as,
Batman: The Animated Series and
Justice League. His latest challenge is a daunting one. How do you make people interested in Green Lantern again after watching Ryan Reynolds yuck it up in the flop of the summer?
It looks like many of the complaints of the live-action film are being corrected in the animated series. Where as the Reynold's film forced corny jokes and dialogue down are throats like sorority girls doing jello shots this animated version has mature and organic humor. They let the jokes come about from the situation naturally and not a Hot Wheels product placement.
Another major complaint was that Reynold's version didn't show enough of Oa or outer space for that matter. Too much of the movie was on Earth, but Bruce Timm assured us that his would be an epic space adventure.
