In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Things are certainly starting to amp up promotional wise for the Martin Campbell directed super-hero flick Green Lantern. Just these past few days we've seen hand fulls of amazing new TV spots, our first clip featuring Kilowog, and some absolutely stunning behind-the-scenes featurettes, along with over 30 brand new images from the film released today. One question many Green Lantern fans have been left wondering is exactly how long will the movie be? Recently there has been some speculation and some sites are reporting the film as being 105 minutes long.

Well a recent update over at the website for the British Board of Film Classification states that the film will in fact be 113m 52s long. I'm not 100% sure of the reliability of the site itself but it seems like a pretty legit site and from what I've read they are reliable. Thor was originally thought to be over 2 hours until BBFC confirmed otherwise.

So what do you guys think? Is just under 2 hours long enough for a large scale movie like Green Lantern?

meh...Thor is 2 hours 10 min so....130 min.

I gues just under 2 hours will work for GL.

The Incredible Hulk is 112 minutes long so I think GL time is good enough.

I hope Cap is 130 minutes too!

I'm not expecting this movie to be ''GREAT'' then if this movie is as long as Thor. Even though Thor was good, It could have been better if it was at least 20 minutes longer to help develop the characters and especially the relationship Thor had with the humans in Earth.

I really don't want to hate on this movie 'cause I support every CBM (no matter what company does it) but I'm expecting to see a movie of the quality of Thor; good. That isn't a bad thing, but to me it's a bit of a letdown because I feel those movies (Green Lantern and Thor) could reach GREATNESS with the appropriate lenght (around the same lenght than TDK) for this kind of movies. It has nothing to do with the only purpose of making a movie over 2 hours long. So I agree in that point with Intruder.

I'm going to see this but my expectations have definitely gone down now.

That's pretty short for what I thought it would be.

I Agree Intruder! I think this movie as well as Thor needs a longer running time.

If Thor would have been about 20-30 minutes longer the film would have been even better then what I felt it was. I loved Thor but some more time would have been nice.

About 5-10 minutes to to show Thor and Loki grow together and show there brotherly dynamic, as well as Thor as a Teen without the Hammer. About 5 minutes to show Thor earn Mjolnir. Maybe a little time showing Mjolnir being crafted in the Beginning. And another 5-10 Minutes to the battle against the Destroyer.

Just make it 2 and a half hours and be done with it. Less than 2 hours is far too short.

damn it should be longer, but it's ok they could put a good movie together at that running time...I have a feeling the avengers with their tight budget will have a similar running time

I wish films were REQUIRED to be at least 2hrs long for a theater release...

When they are under, i don't feel like i got my money's worth! Especially a film like GL, I was hoping for 2hrs15min - 2hrs45min.

Who said Thor was bad??

It's not because a movie doesn't reach greatness that It means the movie is bad you know!
