After the tepid critical and box office response to Green Lantern, the status of a sequel has been pretty up in the air, despite recent talk of a darker, grittier and more action packed take on the DC character next time. So, what does Ryan Reynolds know of it? You can find that out in the following interview, as well as what exactly is going on with R.I.P.D. and Deadpool.
"'R.I.P.D.' I'm doing next and then hopefully 'Deadpool,'" Reynolds told MTV News in a recent interview. "It's in development still."
As for whether or not this means the actor will be forced to choose between one or the other, he said:, "No, not at all, far from it."
"I have no idea, that's not up to me," the actor responded when pressed on the subject of whether or not we'll see a sequel to Green Lantern. "I don't write those checks. And if I did I certainly wouldn't be standing on a red carpet, I would be sunning myself somewhere. There are infinite [possibilities for a sequel]. 70 years of history there, you could go anywhere."
