Remember when someone got the idea a "Young Justice"

TV Show would be taking place. I freaked. I miss that show. It would have to take place after the Justice League and all the movies in the future. It would be like now that the heroes are here, the sidekicks will make a name for themselves. It could work but you could connect the universe but if the show barely involved the Justice League.

I reckon The Rock could play the actual physical body of MM with heavy makeup so he doesn't look at all recognizable and then someone like Carl Lumbly or the guy that voice MM in YJ could provide J'onn's voice. I mean, MM is usually depicted at the tallest and most muscular member of the JL.

What if Johnson did the body, someone else did the motion capture for the face with makeup and CGI to make him look like a Martian and someone else did the voice? Wouldn't be the first time someone did the physical work and someone else the voice (Darth Vader).

I don't think he'll be the next Lantern I can see him as more of a villain role concerning the lantern corps or possibly the new Kilowog but as John Stewart? I just don't see it guys.

Now Lobo on the other hand is a no brainier! lol

Lex Luthor would be very cool but didn't he say "it's funny you said that" after someone mentioned something about his possible connection to a Green Lantern film? So many questions that need to be answered here in regards to the secrecy of casting and films within the DCCU.

Like I said above, it seems WB is trying to get some star-power like Marvel's done with Vin Diesel... Too bad they're both bad actors.

You know now that I think about it, it seems like Marvel and WB are pulling from the F&F cast - Vin, Gadot (also terrible) and The Rock? Next think you know Tyrese is in the running for Luke Cage :P

I'd be fine with the Rock as John Stewart, but I hope that they include other members of the Corps in the movie as well; if done right, Green Lantern could be DCs answer to Guardians of the Galaxy.

Green Lantern needs another run. While the Rock is not my #1 choice he has the name power to do bring GL where it should be.

The first GL had such a chance but may have been the worst possible script they could think of. If you noticed the GL director & writers have been ostracised from Hollywood. Martin Campbell hasn't directed a film since & he was considered a big name director. Also the GL writers Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim have both went on to write one bad movie each since GL & will likely not get another gig (Berlanti - Wrath of the Titans & Guggenheim - Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

GL can become a big franchise and I think WB will get it right the second time around.

John Stewart the most boring Green Lantern of all time. He has no great stories and no arch-nemesis nor any close relationship to any of the JL well except for his relationship to Hal Jordan lol. He has had only one story Mosaic that is it, he is remember for which was boring as hell. Anyone who says he is their favorite has only watched the JL Animated series and never read been a fan or read the comic. And in that Series Bruce Timm made him a lot more like Hal and gave him some of his personality to make him more interesting. Stewart from the cartoon was an Amalgam of the two.

I honestly believe though that the Rock is going to play Metallo or Lex.

@MarvelMainEvent The original script for GL was pretty good until Michael Goldenberg did the rewrites. Also all Martin Campbell movies have been flops and been panned by critics except for 3 out of 10 or more, that is not a good track record. And one of those was only good by 90's "fun" action movie standards. I don't think he gets costume superheroes and probably thinks they are kids stuff.

I was living all the news from Superman vs Batman with great joy, the incorporation of Ben Affleck as Batman or Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, but the rumor of Dwayne Johnson as John Stewart was the worst thing that could happen to me.

Jhon Stewart in JL the Movie, is ruining the greatest dream of my life! The movie event of the Justice League is unique in history, and respect the fans does not mean neglecting the new audience.
The 3 large Avengers were in his movie and was a success at the box office.
The "big 7" have to be, and HAL JORDAN is part!

i hope that the most awaited film in history we will see the biggest Green Lantern of all!

WE WANT HAL JORDAN!
