UPDATE: Six More Brand New Green Lantern Clips Unveiled!

Six clips have been released online and they feature plenty of Earthbound action as well as our first proper look at Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond and Sinestro addressing the Corps as well as much more...

Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Many thanks to Comics Continuum and a heads up from our own "TheBlackWidow" for the following.

UPDATE: And thanks to Trailer Addict for this one.

With an all star cast which includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this year!

This looks awesome!!!

Gonna have to disagree with you Xenix, RR is not being the comedic RR, he's being the cocky Hal Jordan. There's a difference there for sure and I thought he did it quite well. I also thought the second scene was dramatic and it didn't even play the full scene, so just be patient k?

Overall, looking forward to this!

@Xenix.

"this is exactly what I didn't want to see. Ryan Reynolds being ryan Reynolds" and Lively not being able to show a shred of emotion.

It seems like you've made up you mind already

@Xenix
I disagree, I think the Abin Sur is emotional. More so in the comics, when Abin has enough life in him to give an entire speech before he dies. This feels like it has weight.

blueorangeny - 6/6/2011, 4:56 PM
oh man the Abin Sur clip when he died, suit kinda of powered off. that was dope

@ Everything - I think we should let Xenix explain how different he would make the scene of Abin's death differently.

Imo I didn't see anything wrong or comedic in that scene, get you to a hospital I think would be the right response, shit Xenix if you were on the floor I'll say the shit, Xenix, I need to get you to a hospital lol.

@Xenix. Quite the contrary. It doesn't make anyone a troll. It just means you are, almost, forming a negative opinion it it all and making judgement on tone simply from a handful of minutes of footage. I never said it would be epic. I just choose to remain open minded until I have proof as to otherwise. YOU are panning performances before you even actually viewed any.

while i liked most of this the let's get these pants off scene still sounds weird... but the rest of the dialogue wasn't bad...

@Xenix
He doesn't give a speech, he just told him about the ring and the lantern. And it was just one joke, it's not like he was "JEEZ, MAN. YOU LOOK WEIRD. NOW THAT'S A FACE FOR RADIO!" Ba-dum tish.
