Marvel better nail this movie because this can open doors for more obscure heroes for the future.

I'm very hopeful for this movie regardless of whether Iron Man or any other Avenger on the current roster shows up. It truly does open up a whole different corner of the Marvel Universe and it has tremendous potential. Yet, I am curious as to what Chris Pratt thinks they have wrapped up and saved for us.

Given that GOTG is the last movie before Avengers: AOU, what are the odds that Ultron is going to have something to do with Thanos? Alien computer virus sent by Thanos to infect government "iron man" drone program and/or JARVIS.

Also still think Vin Diesel is Thanos... May be Groot too but I def think he is Thanos.

The thing that confuses me most, is I could have sworn that Feige said this movie wss set in the future of the MCU. But at the same time ***spoiler*** Thanos is supposedly in it, and the mid credit scene of Thor 2 lends credence to this taking place soon afterwards ***end spoiler***.

Did I just misinterpret Feige's words, or did I make the whole thing up?

@Humby

I seem to remember the opposite, Feige saying it takes place in the same timeline. But again that's just what I remember I could be wrong myself.

I just think parts of phase 1 & 2 are setting up for Avengers 3.

GOTG has the potential to explore more of the cosmic universe and introduce new characters in the cosmic universe excluding Captain Universe lol.

I actually really don't want Iron Man to appear in this. Im hoping they trust the film to work well enough without using any other major property. I kinda feel it would cheapen the Guardian characters a bit.
BIGBMH
BIGBMH - 11/5/2013, 4:40 AM
Planet Hulk could work, but I can't imagine things going so badly that Iron Man and others would turn against Banner. For the movie, I think they would make it the decision of someone we already don't like very much (bad guy, b!tchier Maria Hill, corrupt SHIELD) it would make sense for someone evil to be trying to remove him from the equation before launching some kind of attack.

I think Nova has potential, but I'm wondering how much of a priority it will be to do that and other cosmic movies. The Star Trek franchise is going strong, Star Wars is coming back, James Cameron is still planning another Avatar, and Marvel is doing Guardians. They might be hesitant to attempt more sci-if space adventures since the competition there is about to get pretty strong. On the other hand, the popularity of those movies could boost potential cosmic Marvel movies.

Gotta agree Cass808. I like RDJ and Iron Man but I don't want Marvel to overdo things with him. And it looks like they might be treading a little close to doing just that. There're so many great Marvel characters. Let's see THEM! And please don't get carried away with the [frick]ing humor Feige!

GOTG will be the surprise hit next year and since its more kid friendly will probably make a lot more at the box office than DOFP. Not saying it will be the better film only time will tell. GOTG looks really good though and the cast is well rounded and dammit they have a talking raccoon with a gun and a one line spewing fighting galactic tree!

Delivery Man is the remake to that Quebec movie "Starbuck". I know the original version was one of the best local movie I had seen in a while, I hope this remake delivers. Same director, it should be good.

@RedSkull I downloaded AdBlock plus (it's free, you can Google it) and I don't remember seeing ads on this site. Though you don't have to use Chrome to have it, as Nomadic suggested. I'm on Firefox.

God I sound like i'm into marketing.
