Trailing yesterday’s casting of actress Ophelia Lovibond, It seems Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy helmer James Gunn is picking up the pace with casting the studios’ 2014 space epic, as The Wrap now reports that thespian Lee Pace is final talks for a role. Late last year, Pace was among 80 to 100 guys to audition for the lead part in Guardians, Star-Lord, which eventually went to Chris Pratt, but it seems the Twilight actor will play a villain in the upcoming adaptation; although who that bad guy is, is unknown. Best known for his role in the fantasy drama The Fall, Lee Pace, 34, appeared in Lincoln, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and its upcoming sequels, The Desolation of Smaug & There and Back Again. Pace joins Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker and Ophelia Lovibond. What villain do think he’s playing?
Latino Review previously reported that the supervillain known as The Controller (not to be confused with Taneleer Tivan, The Collector) will have a role in Guardians of the Galaxy as the henchman of the Mad Titan Thanos. So, The Controller, aka Basil Sandhurst, may be who Lee Pace is playing.
