New GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Set Photos From London's Millennium Bridge

Many colorful alien extras were spotted this morning on London's Millenium Bridge as filming continued on James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. There's a Nova Corps members that appears to be guiding civilians away from some sort of attack.

ContactMusic.com has scored a few set pics from the Guardians of the Galaxy set as filming got underway this morning. The film crew were shooting on London's Millennium Bridge. The scene featured plenty of alien extras running across the bridge as a helicopter filmed the action from above. Check out the snaps below we feature plenty of extras in alien makeup.







UPDATED: We now can see that the Nova Corps are running on the bridge too. Could this be the inevitable destruction of Xandar? What do you think?

Great find! Nice to see some more GOTG news, because for some reason none of the GOTG news from D23 yesterday got covered here on CBM. Where is the CBM coverage of all the Gaurdians news and interviews out of D23? I mean lots of websites, for instance IGN, have fantastic recaps of new footage screened, new information on the plot, new in-depth interviews about each member of the team, plus a great explanation to how Thanos is what links the Gaurdians to the Avengers and how that will play out in future films. Just curious as to why nothing put that small production update post yesterday? because Gaurdians has had a lot of news come out of D23 yesterday, so why only cover Cap and Thor?

@dudemacgee you are right, and it's really cool that you have made this very cool post iof the current production. D23 has been showing people the Comic Con footage though, and I've read that it was different footage so Im surprised that not any posts discussing MARVEL showing the footage in "secret" this weekend, seems like a lot of people@D23 saw the Con footage this weekend.

@NPaMusic, That was a Corpsman – The Corpsman are the entry level of the Nova Corps. Any graduates from the Space Academy must apply to the Nova Corps upon graduation. They have access to 25% of the Nova Force compared to the Centurions. They can lift approximately 5 tons with limited invulnerability. Like the Millennians, the Corpsman have small photon blasters in the armbands of the their uniform.

The Nova Primes - The Nova Centurion designated as 'Prime' is the highest-ranking member of the Nova Corps. The Nova Prime is endowed with a vast portion of the Nova-Force, and capable of great feats of energy manipulation and projection....Nova Prime is below..

You can see on the Nova guard's arm he's just got the one line, he's only a grunt. I imagine the higher-ups will have cooler suits....I hope anyway!

I think the Nova Corps uniform looks good. And that is not Nova. You'll know it's Nova when you see him.

@lapress That guy was on the production team for Skyfall. They're shooting GOTG at Shepperton Studios which is owned by Pinewood Studios(the studio has been used to shoot Bond films for 50 years).

Assuming he doesn't appear in the main story itself, it would be so great if the after-credits scene on this movie gives us our first look at Richard Rider in full Centurion gear, setting up his own movie (or at least setting up his involvement in GOTG 2 or AVENGERS.

I'm sorry but this movie is going to good but not that good!! First of all GOTG isn't as mainstream as the avengers!!! Unless they have one hell of a promotional campaign for it. Ppl are going to be like "with?? A talking raccoon??? A talking tree?? They may even think it couldbe asome star trek rip off. All I'm saying is marvel thinks they can cash in on anything just cuz its MARVEL!! and this movie may be a success but we wouldn't want marvel getting lazy on us like they did with iron man 3and selling us just a name of a product not the actual product itself
