BOX OFFICE: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Now Sits At $816 Million Worldwide

Though much of the box office discussion right now is (rightly) focused on WB's Wonder Woman, Marvel and James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is still going strong in North America.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 added an estimated $9.733 million USD domestically and has now collected #355.47 million in North America across its four weeks of release. Overseas, it added another $4.4 million, bringing its international total to $461.1 million USD.

Though it likely won't cross the $1 billion mark that some bullish analysts estimated before the film was released, the film's current total is still good enough to make Vol. 2 the 5th highest grossing MCU film to date.  However, it won't catch the 4th place film, Captain America: Civil War, which grossed $1.15 billion worldwide.

Hail Eris! @BlackManta1 -

Y'know, I could be wildly off-base, here, but it seems to me that you might not be the biggest-ever fan of the MCU. That couldn't be true, could it?

My cynicism makes me bad at objectifying women. "Yeah, man, she's like the village bicycle: she reminds me of a time when people still trusted each other."

Hasn't finished its run, yet. Also, y'know, us Marvel fans aren't necessarily experts in profit projections. In addition, you might consider getting *TF* out of here, Mr. Fan-of-a-cinematic-universe-with-one-blockbuster-hit-that-is-not-merely-riding-the-coattails-of-a-famous-name, *sir*.
