Have you ever sat awake at night and wondered what a skinless Rocket Raccoon might look like? Well, wonder no more as we have an actual idea, thanks to a new VFX breakdown of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Framestore has released a brief four-minute VFX reel, showcasing some of the outstanding work they did for Vol. 2 and it gives us a pretty cool look at some of the film's most visually impressive sequences, including several with Rocket and Baby Groot as well as the film's high-flying opening where the Guardians square up with the massive Abilisk.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. @Gandressmex - The rumors came from someones ass. First the rumors said it would premiere during Inhumans and now they're saying it'll premiere on Jimmy Kimmel tonight [frick]ing hilarious.

Fantastic Effects Reel. Watching that on a 4K monitor it looks absolutely beautiful. I'm glad Marvel finally moved away from flat colors and got the better camera for more vibrant hues.

Framestore, ILM and Sony Pictures Imageworks are the 3 best VFX companies in the business. The DCU should stop using second-rate companies like UPP and MPC, that's how you end-up with terrible CGI, which doesn't help their movies.

Gamora jumps 15 feet with her sword in hand > Looks like Gamora.
Wonder Woman jumps through a window > Looks like a video game character.
