When the MCU's biggest A-Holes return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 next month, they'll be sporting uniforms that should make comic book fans everywhere very happen.

The first concept art for Guardians of the Galaxy was released during Comic-Con way back in 2012 and showed the team wearing costumes similar to those from Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's critically acclaimed comic book run. Those didn't make it to the big screen in 2014, but we are getting a variation of them in this upcoming threequel.

Now, we can take a closer look at those - and Groot's new appearance - thanks to some newly released promo art for Vol. 3

These certainly make the cosmic superheroes look more like a united team and are hopefully here to stay no matter what happens to the Guardians during this adventure.

Check out this new promo art for the movie below.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.

Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.

I love how far Nebula has come. To be a child of Thanos to becoming an Avenger. She has an excellent story arc.

could careless about the outfits... i'll be watching this for rocket. Haven't bought my tix yet cuz i'm not super hyped, but, for Disney/Marvel sake... i hope it's a big win after Antman was a huge letdown and The Marvel's looks like dogsh*t

@Razorface1 - very generic, trying to hard with the laughs, looks like a boring one off villian and captain marvel is taking a backseat in her own movie

@MotherGooseUPus - subjective, but fair enough. That said, this is clearly not Caps movie.

It’s been said already but Groot looks whack. I get he’s a different person but at least use the same CGI as the original Guardians movie. He looked so much better almost 10 years ago

Should make fans “very happen”?

@RolandD - What's wrong with being happen? Those pics made me VERY happen. I was happening all over the place. On my desk, on the walls, on my keyboard, etc. My office is literally COVERED in happen sauce right now. It's a good thing that I have one of those plastic carpet covers under my desk. Otherwise I'd be scrubbing happen juice out of my carpet for days.

Oh, wait... that's a typo. Got it. Um... never mind then. Carry on.

The suits look good, sure, but I prefer when each character had their own unique flair.

It looks like they just said "Eff the CGI" and pulled the Groot Disney castmember from the theme park and put them on the movie set.
