Production officially began on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 today in Atlanta, Georgia, and director James Gunn has provided fans with a first glimpse of the new logo via the set pic below. “To quote the great poet David Coverdale, Here I Go Again,” he added with the image on his Facebook page. Yes, you can probably expect that tune to wind up on "Awesome Mix, Vol. 2".


Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper, plus Michael Rooker and Karen Gillan will also return as Yondu and Nebula. New faces include Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and Kurt Russell in reportedly talks to play Star-Lord’s father. The Marvel flick hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
