The opinion about this film in Italy ranges from "total shit" to "It's a nice b-movie if you manage to forget the comics".
Reminds me a bit of what I read about Constantine.

...AND....the world's most uncharismatic actor....

Comparing Routh and Welling is like comparing Michelob Ultra and Milwaukee's Best beer. When you're dealing with really bad there just isn't much separation...it all comes down to just how really bad your taste is. ;-)

@LEEE777 - If Routh is 'more' Superman than Welling, why did Smallville last 10 seasons and Superman Returns stop at one movie??

Bane@ ...and that's coming from someone who just questioned people who watch Smallville and throw in a gay reference to boot. Kettle black much? I guess some can't take joking or kidding here, but Lee and I have been going back and forth on the Routh/Welling acting abilities for some time now. If you think Routh and/or Welling are good actors, then I can question your taste in acting just like you can question and stereotype people who watch Smallville. ;-)

Sure, it looks like crap if you're used to overblown, overproduced cgi-fests that treat their audience like retarded kids with a penchant for pretty lights.

There was a time when truly great movies, not to mention FUN movies, could be made for less than five million. This flick comes from the director of the quite awesome TMNT. When every 4 out of 5 big movies fail with their audience, it's always a good idea to check out possible hidden gems.
