HALLOWEEN ENDS Will Be Available To Stream On Peacock The Same Day It Hits Theaters

Halloween Ends on October 14 - in theatres and on streaming.

Universal (via FearHQ.com) has announced (via a video featuring star Jamie Lee Curtis) that the third and final(?) chapter in David Gordon Green's slasher trilogy will follow its predecessor's release pattern by opening day-and-day in on the big screen and on Peacock.

This may seem like a surprising move, but it's worth noting that Halloween Kills performed very well when it followed the same release strategy during the pandemic, so the studio is clearly attempting to replicate that success.

Check out the video below, along with a new poster featuring Laurie Strode and Michael Myers preparing for their final confrontation.

After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in a final confrontation unlike any captured on-screen before. Only one of them will survive.

Icon Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the last time as Laurie Strode, horror’s first ‘final girl’ and the role that launched Curtis’ career. Curtis has portrayed Laurie for more than four decades now, one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history. When the franchise relaunched in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records, becoming the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.

“Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.”

Will Jamie Lee Curtis be alive in 2037 for Halloween 60? It would no doubt be a reboot that ignores everything after Halloween 1978 with a 79 year old Laurie Strode facing an 81 year old Michael Myers.

I'm torn. On one hand Halloween 2018 was pretty good. On the other hand, Halloween kills was atrocious.

They’re holding a funeral screening of Batgirl on the WB lot. Who wants to help me infiltrate it and steal the footage?

While WBD tries to kill HBO Max because they apparently they dislike the whole strategy of how the movies are only out for 45 days (wasn't like that before back in the 2000s?) there are others like Peacok who are not that petty and remember that the pandemic isn't over and that there's this thing called monkey pox that is at large as well.

So good of them to do that.

"Individuals that worked on ‘BATGIRL’ are attending “funeral screenings” of the film on WB lot before the film is locked away forever in a vault."

"Warner Bros Discovery could destroy all footage of ‘BATGIRL’ to demonstrate to the IRS there will never be revenue made from the film, and can immediately receive the full tax write-down but some think this is unlikely to happen."

@AmazingFILMporg - I like Kills too and thinks it's The Godfather when compared to most of the sequels. But can anyone explain to me why when the town was freaking out, no one knows what Michael Meyers looks like? Tommy even mentioned no one's really seen his face. Why? He would be one of the most famous serial killers in history. He was arrested immediately. He would be on the news constantly being hauled in and out of court, attempted prison interviews, paparazzi photos in The Yard. Stuff like that. Not to mention tons of Dateline and ID and Oxygen specials. I mean, he wouldn't have his mask on at all. He just looks like a generic dude. 🤷‍♂️. Makes no sense.

That was dumb but I think the point was mob mentality clouding your judgement.

Also Michael wasn't really that famous. They erased his history. He killed like 3 people that night.

But yeah, it was dumb
