It Seems Scout Taylor Compton Will Be Back For HALLOWEEN 3D

Last week we brought you the news that a third Halloween flick was back on at the Weinstein Company. We weren't sure if it was going to be a continuation of the Rob Zombie movies or yet another reboot,

We recently found out some exciting (if you're a fan at least) news from Cannes: Michael Myers will be worrying babysitters once again in Halloween 3D. Although when this was first announced, it was originally envisioned as a second sequel to Rob Zombie's Halloween reboot, this new report suggested that may not be the case anymore. But now the following Tweet from the actress that played Laurie Strode in the previous Zombie flicks would seem to confirm that this will indeed be a threequel:

Zombie's second Halloween movie was generally regarded as being terrible, but despite taking a few liberties with Myers' origin, his first reboot was actually pretty good -- and Compton was a highlight of both films for sure. Will be also see Tyler Mane back as Michael Myers? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.

Please, just take out the 3D in the title. Makes me feel like they won't take this movie serious.

Michael Myers has always freaked me out. We were having a Halloween party at our fraternity house one year and I wouldn't let a dude in unless he ditched his Myers' mask.

Talk about letting it die? Let's hold a double funeral for the Halloween franchise and Jackman as Wolverine.

I'm the one in the striped shirt. Living in a fraternity house for 2 years exposed me to debauchery you've only read about in Penthouse forums.

SHOCKING FACT: Micheal Myers has been around since '78 and only has 3 more film appearances than Jackman as Wolverine.

The original Halloween is one of my favourite horror films, but come on.

The slasher genre is dead. Just let it stay that way.

oh god no! She was an awful Laurie and I don't want this connected to the unbearably bad H2!

The best part about this Halloween reboot was when the step dad threw the food on the floor and yelled "PICK IT UP B*TCH! ! ! ! !"

I liked her in the 1st one but the 2nd one made her so unlikeable. I hope Scout's Laurie is like the H20 Laurie, a character who's fed up of living in fear and begins to kick ass.

You got to be kidding!! Scout Taylor Compton was horrible as Laurie i didnt care for her character its the main reason Halloween failed...i never bother watching the sequel....the Halloween franchise ended at Halloween 6.

No one watches a Halloween film to enjoy the trials and tribulations of Laurie Strode. Why put her in it, unless it's fulfilling a contract type deal.

I wouldnt gobso far as to say Zombie's "Halloween II" was terrible, but it definitely wasnt the series's best offering. I did like the outside-the-box approach it took, in comparison to the other films in the series. It was definitely different, and I'll give it some respect for that.

Really love the series. The remake was great, the second one, meh. But Scout was definitely a highlight. I had the pleasure of meeting her actually a few times. Great actress and even nicer person. Glad to see she'll be coming back. Bring on the tears, Compton lol.
