Happy Halloween!

To celebrate this creepiest of holidays, returning star Jamie Lee Curtis has shared a new image from the set of Universal's upcoming relaunch, which was recently confirmed to be a direct sequel to John Carpenter's original and will ignore all other installments.

Curtis, pictured here alongside a very familiar face, will reprise the role of Michael Myers' long-suffering sister, Laurie Strode.

David Gordon Green (Eastbound & Down, Pineapple Express, Our Brand Is Crisis) is on board to direct new movie from a script co-written by frequent collaborator Danny McBride. John Carpenter will executive produce.

@dotherightthing - She was only in Halloween 2 in the 80's. Halloween H20 was 1998.

Does Halloween 2 still count?

@Kman - Apparently not. I'm not a fan of this erasing sequels from existence - good or bad, they happened. It's just a lazy get out of jail free card.

@Kman - From what I’ve been reading, unfortunately it sounds like it won’t. Which is kind of disappointing because that was the only good sequel in the franchise. Plus I’m pretty sure that means the whole connection of Laurie and Michael being siblings will be ignored. But I also think that opens up some interesting possibilities. I’m more curious now than anything so I’ll just wait to see when more details come out.

@RorMachine @CletusKasady89 - yea it's kinda awkward because that's the only sequel that takes place minutes after the original. It's practically one movie to me.
