Variety has confirmed that James Ransone (Mosaic) and Andy Bean (Power) have joined the cast of Andy Muschietti's upcoming horror sequel, It: Chapter Two as the adult versions of Eddie and Stanley, respectively.

Ransone and Bean are the latest additions to a star cast that recently added Jessica Chastain (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) as adult Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) as adult Bill Denbrough, and Bill Hader (Barry) as adult Richie Tozier. Additionally, Bill Skarsgård will return as Pennywise the Clown.

In the original 2017 blockbuster, Jack Dylan Grazer played Eddie Kaspbrak while Wyatt Oleff played Stanley Uris. While unconfirmed, the duo along with the rest of the younger cast has been rumored to return in some capacity, presumably for flashback sequences.

Production is expected to begin this summer in Toronto.

Good casting. Ransone actually resembles the kid.

It is really a nice cast they have come up with. I suppose the original actor Bill Skarsgård is back as that SOB Pennywise? He did it well and was creepy enough from what I saw.

Never heard of Bean, but I’ve seen Ransone in Sinister and Tangerine, and he was really good in both.

He actually does look a lot like an older version of the kid who played Eddie in Chapter 1. Good casting there. I would've gone for Amy Adams for Beverly though.

Ransome looks like a serial killer...

As much as I can't deny James Ransone has a legit resemblance to the kid who played Eddie (& I [frick]ing hated him in the only thing of his I've ever seen, his character in The Wire) I honestly still feel like I really hit it out of the park for the most part with my adult casting for the sequel...

Bill: Jason Bateman
Ben: Joel Edgerton
Beverly: Jessica Chastain
Mike: Anthony Mackie
Richie: Bill Hader
Eddie: Adam Scott
Stan: Joseph Gordon-Levitt

While I grant you that JGL might be the weakest part of that, but considering how the character's used in the sequel, I think you can get away with it. And again, while I concede Ransone looks like Eddie, that actor seems like he'd still be a bit too young for where they'd be in a 2018ish timeframe.

Though I still don't quite get how they're going to get away with doing NEW flashback material of the kids in the sequel. If it's supposed to be stuff that also happened back around that same time as we saw in Chapter 1, but c'mon pretty much all of those kids have already aged-out of realistically looking just the same as they did for the first movie. I mean this is right in that prime time of where kids grow and change their look fast.

These kids grew up looking like movie stars.
