On the heels of a terrifying new trailer, a disturbing international poster for Pet Sematary has found its way online, giving us another look at little Ellie Creed (Jeté Laurence) crawling from the sour ground.

Though the big reveal that it's actually Gage's older sister that gets hit by the truck before demonically resurrecting is not technically a spoiler since it was given away in the trailer, we're treating it as such on the off chance that you chose to skip the latest teaser and go in blind.

Check out the poster below along with the previous one-sheets and let us know what you think of this pretty major change to Stephen King's novel.

“Based on the novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed, who, after relocating with his wife Rachel and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”

Pet Sematary is set for release on April 5. Check out some previously released stills below, along with some character and plot details.

Jud And Ellie

The first image features Jud Crandall (John Lithgow) and little Ellie Creed (Jeté Laurence).

In this take on the story, Ellie is the first to encounter Jud when she inadvertently stumbles upon the titular animal graveyard, completely unaware that there's another, much more sinister cemetery just beyond it.

No Turning Back

Jud and Louis (Jason Clarke) go for a little stroll. Can you guess what's in the bag?

These two become fast friends, but the grieving father soon regrets taking the advice of his lonely old neighbor.

The Creed Family

A happier moment for Ellie, mom Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and Gage (played by twins Hugo and Lucas Lavoie) - though Louis looks like something is on his mind.

The Pet Cemetery

The graveyard of the title is a peaceful place where people bring their deceased pets to lay them to rest, but beyond it is an ancient Mi’kmaq burial ground where things that are gone can sometimes come back.

Church

Bad kitty!

Winston Churchill is Ellie's pet cat, and when he falls victim to the busy motorway in front of The Creed's house, Louis doesn't see the harm in burying him in the dark place Jud tells him about. That's a decision he soon regrets.

Rachel And Gage

Fans of the book and the original movie will recall one of the most terrifying aspects was Rachel's flashback/vision of her sister Zelda, who will also be a part of this new adaptation.

It’s more accurate to the book, I’ll just say that,” co-director Dennis Widmyer reveals. “In the original movie, it’s a 21-year-old guy in drag playing it, and in the book, as you recall, it’s a 10-year-old girl.”

Behind-The-Scenes

Finally, we have a BTS shot of Clarke and Lithgow alongside the film's directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch, who are best known for the 2014 Hollywood horror-satire Starry Eyes.

If it is in the trailer... is it really a spoiler?

@Forthas - Maybe read the article? He explains why he calls it a spoiler even though it's in the trailer...

@CorndogBurglar - Point taken...however there is a broader question of what constitutes a spoiler. To me....the fact it is Ellie and not Gage does not change the basic premise of the story. Since the trailer CHOOSES to make that reveal then the people making the movie don't think it is a "secret". So why treat it as such. It is not a criticism of the writer (because I know a lot of people would be angry because he reveals something in the movie they did not expect) but rather it is a criticism of all of us readers who whine about spoilers when it is not. If it is leaked info....then slap a spoiler alert. If it is on the poster and/or the trailer...CLEARLY the studio wants us to know it, so what secret are we protecting. In short, CBM writers should not "protect" us from spoilers just because we as a community can't recognize that it is in fact not one.

@Forthas - Oh I don't disagree with anything you just said.

And this is kind of a weird way to treat a spoiler. By this logic if we are going to be treating things in the trailer as spoilers then any time a new movie trailer gets posted on the site it should be labelled as a spoiler. Because you never know when someone wants to go into a movie with as little knowledge as possible. You know?

@CurlyBill - is it that or the fact thats its spoiled in the poster and/or trailer?

@MrCamw1 - No it's that they switch the kids. The Book is very dark and one of the main reasons for that is because it's toddler that is tragically killed, not saying that losing a daughter isn't bad aswell.

@CurlyBill - I here ya. My thing is that if not for either this poster or last trailer it qould have been a cool seithc o the audience. Whether it works storywise will see. But your rigbt in the book the fact that it was a mangled toddler that came back to life was great.

There was a strong reason it was the younger one.. They want to make changes like this? May they reap the results. Less intense. Less interest. Less audience. Less money.
