SCREAM: The Killer Is On The Final Poster For Paramount's Upcoming Horror Sequel

Paramount Pictures has released a final one-sheet for the fifth instalment in the Scream franchise, and it promises that "the killer is on this poster." We're gonna assume it's the person in the mask.

The fifth instalment in the Scream series is set to slice its way into theaters early next year, and Paramount Pictures has now debuted a final one-sheet which gathers together most of the new and familiar faces.

We are told that "the killer is on this poster," but considering pretty much the entire cast is featured - with Ghostface looming in the background - this doesn't really narrow things down!

Woodsboro survivors Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), and Dewey Riley (David Arquette) are all set to return for this latest chapter in the long-running horror franchise, and there's speculation that one of them might be unmasked as the latest incarnation of Ghostface.

That wouldn't seem to make a whole lot of sense given everything they've been through together, but who knows - being repeatedly stalked and stabbed by multiple knife-wielding maniacs is bound to take its psychological toll!

Check out the new poster (via IGN) below.

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.

Paramount Pictures teamed with Spyglass Media to co-produce and distribute Scream, which has Ready or Not duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett on board to direct. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are co-wrote the screenplay. Producers for the film are Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak, with Kevin Williamson executive producing.

Scream is set for release next January.
