ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP Teaser Poster Asks You To Get Ready For Seconds This October

While Sony Pictures doesn't have a panel this year, they're still offering up some SDCC goodies and have debuted the official teaser poster for Zombieland: Double Tap. Could the trailer be imminent?

Sony Pictures may be sitting out San Diego Comic-Con this year, but it appears they're still getting in on the festivities, as just moments ago the studio debuted the first official teaser poster for Ruben Fleischer's Zombieland: Double Tap.

While the teaser trailer isn't expected to debut this weekend, it does seem increasingly likely it will find its way online before Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hits theaters next week.

The long awaited sequel will feature returning stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin; and will also introduce new characters played by Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia, Rosario Dawson, Thomas Middleditch and Luke Wilson. Plus, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray (yes, really) are also set to make cameo appearances as fictionalized versions of themselves.

After the events of the first film, Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors and the growing pains of the snarky makeshift family.

Zombieland: Double Tap features:
Director: Ruben Fleischer
Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee
Jesse Eisenberg as Columbus
Emma Stone as Wichita/Krista
Abigail Breslin as Little Rock
Zoey Deutch as Madison
Avan Jogia as Berkeley
Rosario Dawson as Nevada
Thomas Middleditch in an undisclosed role
Luke Wilson in an undisclosed role
Bill Murray as himself
Dan Aykroyd as himself

Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters October 11

@Evansly - the hangover is really overrated. Zombie land was great. Patiently awaiting this one

@Evansly - Zombieland and This is the end are two of the best end of the world comedies ever.

@SonOfAGif - Seriously, both This Is The End and Zombieland are nowhere near as great of a zombie/end of the world comedy movies as the hallmark classic that is Shaun of the Dead. That movie is a goddamn classic!

I'm a bit worried about this. For some reason I feel like Woody Harrelson's initial hype to do a sequel died down years ago (since they didn't do it sooner), and that Emma Stone outgrew this... we'll see though.

@Kurne - That, and the director hasn't made a good movie since the original.

@Kurne - Even if a horror movie or horror comedy sucks. I still love the month of October and anything horror movie related. Whether it's cheesy or campy horror or legit good storytelling. October is the month where all things horror are welcome in my book good or bad. So I'm giving this one the benefit of the doubt.

Besides the whole Bill Murray gag, I didnt really enjoy the first that much.

Hoping the trailer gets me excited at least.

Zombieland was a whole bunch of fun, but at the same time I also think over-praised or over-glorified. I'm curious to see footage from this, but until then either way this feels like it will feel forced to me in most regards (a lot of comedy sequels have that issue of getting too cocksure and then ruining what made the first feel special).

Some movies get trailer a year before, which is unnecessary.

This is the opposite situation. The trailer is really needed asap. October is almost here.

And now Zombieland 2! We were spoiled this year.
