COMICS: New PLANET HULK Coming In 2015

After Civil War, Age of Ultron vs Marvel Zombies, and Years of Future Past, the latest mysterious "Summer 2015" event teaser from Marvel Comics is the strangest yet. Check out the promo image for Planet Hulk after the jump.

The original Planet Hulk arc saw the Green Goliath exiled to another planet, where he was forced to fight as a gladiator. This teaser image from artist Mukesh Singh suggests that we'll be getting an actual planet of Hulks, with Devil Dinosaur and an axe-wielding Captain America thrown into the mix for good measure. So far all of these Summer 2015 Marvel teasers have referenced past events, and the theory is that they'll all wind up tying the new Secret Wars by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic.

So either this is all part of the secret wars thing or they are redoing a bunch of old events.
Some of them genuinely intrigue and excite me.
Marvel Zombies vs Ultron is pretty cool.
As is this, I mean c'mon it's Captain America vs a shit ton of hulks.

It won't surprise me if these are all part of the Secret Wars. In this case, it will be different Marvel realities (What If...? etc.) fighting each other rather than just Marvel-616 heroes vs. villains.

Nice looking promo though.

I'm going to take a stab at this a predict a bit of time tampering and reality bending on the Beyonder's part, modifying some of Marvels best known stories for a bit. Marvel puts out a few Elseworld style books during the Secret Wars run to flesh out the revised history. After which you should expect a bit of a Marvel reboot, 52 style

This is literally the dumbest thing, ever. Planet Hulk is not the most popular story out there (arguably World War Hulk is more exciting) but to basically retconn the whole event is just plain stupid. Marvel are shooting themselves for doing this, especially if it's so they can work it into a movie.
