The Herald Sun is reporting that the I, Frankstein set in Park Orchards was attacked by a bunch of savages Sunday at around 1am local time. I had just posted a new article showing the construction of a cemetery set the other day which you can view here

Police said they are now investigating the incident with the damage bill unknown. "The complainant heard crashing and banging and when police units attended there was substantial damage," A Victoria Police spokeswoman said. A nearby resident said she heard sirens and a police helicopter hovering in the early hours of Sunday morning. Residents also believed a security guard was hurt but police were unable to confirm those reports.

The Hollywood production was set to film flying scenes today involving trapeze stunts. There is no word yet if those scenes will be put on hold while the sets are restored. The production is expected to spend up to $37 million and will also be expected to employ about 500 local cast and crew members.

I, Frankenstein will be in theaters February 22nd, 2013. The film stars: Aaron Eckhart (The Dark knight, Thank You for Smoking), Bill Nighy (Underworld, Love Actually), Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings), Yvonne Strahovski (Killer Elite, I love You Too) and Socratis Otto (X-Men Origins: Wolverine).
